Rationale: Ghallanda Ltd started as a retirement dream, to own a bed and breakfast among some of Maramere's most beautiful and remote wildernesses. For decades, the name Ghallanda was spoken of only by those who wished to get away from their lives for a time and experience the beauty of Maramere's mountains or Maramere's island chains. When Ghallanda scion Aiden took ownership from his parents, however, the name Ghallanda gained more recognition. Through mergers and takeovers of other hospitality industries on Maramere, Ghallanda became the premiere name in luxury accommodations on the planet.

Seventeen locations are on Maramere, seven in the various mountain regions of the planet, providing everything from "hunting lodges" to spa getaways in hidden valleys. Seven more are in the islands of Maramere, providing luxury and entertainment for the beach/ocean going crowds. Two of Ghallanda's Maramere properties are in the capital city, Pointe Modie, providing lodging and luxury services to those on Maramere for business, or those who simply do not want to get 'closer to nature.' The final location that Ghallanda has on Maramere currently is it's headquarters, a space station at Maramere's L1 lagrange point. This location contains the headquarters offices, a small R&D section, transient lodging, cargo stowage, docking ports for larger ships, a transport hangar for ferrying between the station and the ground, an executive hangar, and an invitation only spa. On Roon, Ghallanda operates two major hotels, one in the capital city, near the Executive Council building of the Techno Union, and one in the southern mudfields, providing a near one of a kind spa treatment using local rare minerals and baths. The third location on Roon is an artificial island that traverses the Roon Sea and is open to executive customers only.
