Intent: To create a nearly undetectable tracking chip capable of being absorbed by the skin, and provide both remotely accessible GPS and vital sign data.
Development Thread: If Required.
Manufacturer: G.E.A.R
Model: GE-ATC (Absorbing Tracker Chip)
Affiliation: Open Market
Modularity: None
Production: Mass-Produced
Material: Dissolving Polymer | Flexsteel
Description: The Galactic Equipment Absorbing Tracker Chip is a minuscule device comprised of a dissolving polymer plastic dispatched via a simple arm patch. The dissolve time takes approximately 10 minutes to complete. Once the chip has been absorbed by the wearer's skin, the device can be activated via remote. Data collected includes all vital signs including heart rate, brain activity, hydration and oxygen levels, body temperature, and incredibly accurate GPS location up to a 5 meter zoned radius. This data is then sent encrypted to a remote host for evaluation. Due to the nature of the device, after a period of seven days, the chip too will begin the break-down process, and data collection will cease.

Strengths:
 • Nearly undetectable, rapid absorbing polymer patch.
 • Seven day GPS and vital sign tracking capability.
Weaknesses:
 • Once absorbed, cannot be removed except by surgery or waiting for the natural breakdown by the body.
 • A substantial electrical shock to the body, such as one by Force Lightning will damage the highly sensitive and fragile components.
 • Substantial trauma to the area in which the device is located will likewise damage the components.
