Adieu...
Welcome to yet another weekly round-up. This will be the last one for a couple of weeks because Kiskla Grayson will be taking this spot next Friday as Faction Owner to present her view on what is happening and is going to happen to the Galactic Republic.
Where else could we start this week than to talk about the recent elections. In case you missed it (you mean you didn’t vote?) we have a Chief of Government [member="Aurelia Saelari"] who ran unopposed (we’re still waiting on the acceptance speech Aurelia).
The post of Chief of Senate was a two-horse race and was won by [member="Alena Beswin"]. I’m sure you’ll want to join us in congratulating them both. Our future is clearly in safe hands.
As a recap, the Republic's Government will consist of a Triumvirate with the Chief of the Senate overseeing the Senate and political functions of the Republic; the Chief of Government overseeing the government and administrative functions of the Republic; and the Chief of the Military who will work with the military commanders to discuss grand strategy and funding for the military.
Over the last week we’ve seen some new faces join as well as some familiar characters come back to the fold. Welcome one and all.
As you know, this is not a time of peace, so I’d urge you, even if you’re not participating, to check out the navy’s skirmish with the One Sith. Whilst on the ground, the skirmish on Zeltros still rages with the navy, army and Jedi all involved.
Finally this week we’ve also had a promotion as Padawan Morlandt should now be correctly addressed as Knight [member="Jannik Morlandt"]. You can't miss him, he's the one with the tan-line where his braid used to be.
And don’t forget…you stay classy Galactic Republic.
