Description:
The L138 droid was an off-the-record deal between Loske Matson and Kaili Talith in which the young Droid Maker would create a little friend, buddy and guy for the young pilot who needed all three. A friend to talk to during long trips, a buddy to slice through the galactic standard security measures and a guy who can tell her what’s what in the galaxy.

It was delivered in a completely blue custom made chassis thrown together from ancient Astromech blueprints found in a remote corner of the Deepweb, hence the off-record nature of the deal. No traces of Kaili or Loske’s involvement was left on the device other than a few mentions of Loske in order to set the droid’s loyalty and trust.

On top of that it came delivered with a dumbed down version of both the H3N-R1 A.I. as well as an equally dumbed down version of the Alexandria A.I.

The resulting hybrid intelligence lead to a blank slate of a droid that could store and transmit data over the holonet with great ease. For the sake of simulating a sort of personality, Kaili let the droid remain without personal preferences or idea of who it was. These were all things Loske herself would have to craft with him as they spent time together.

Also it had no guns or weaponry. A golden rule for Droid Maker Kaili Talith. As such it cannot defend itself other than the fusion torch and buzzsaw it has. Though considering their size, it wouldn’t be a good defense at all.

Strengths:

  • A blank slate, a personality that takes shape according to use.

  • Can connect to the Holonet and keep a valuable conversation going with whoever is on the other end.

  • It can slice standard galactic security, meaning as long as you don’t skimp out on security or re-use ancient Death Star security software, you should be safe from most attacks.
Weaknesses:

  • Not damage resistant, it’s still a regular droid. Blasters and EMP make it die.

  • No backups. A safety measure necessary to not leave a paper trail. If the droid dies, that’s it. Its personality is gone forever.
