Dosuun, Spaceport
The Ascendancy was a long way away for her, now.
Not that she was particularly unhappy about it, but neither was she thrilled. Ever since the Iron Empire had settled itself into their space, occupying sovereign territory of the Ascendancy, she'd been particularly on edge. She wasn't the only one to feel as she did, of course, but she was the only one willing to speak out about it. Like her predecessors, she felt particularly strongly about protecting her people and staving off outside threats. But as per usual, the unwillingness of the CEDF to operate with preemptive strikes had proven itself to fail them. They hadn't been ready for how swiftly they'd been swept up in the wake of the fall of the One Sith. Now they were someone else's pawn.
This attitude of hers had landed her in hot water. Her aptitude was sufficient enough that they didn't want to exile her, but at the same time her attitude meant that she couldn't be allowed to remain in Ascendancy space for the time being. Inevitably they'd had to find something to do with her, and the most probable had been to assign her the task of going to one of the two chiefly Imperial factions that had recently appeared within the galaxy. While one bore the name of an ancient ally, it did not herald from that history. The Ascendancy did not believe that a warlord could raise an Empire worthy of the name.
Instead, they had chosen to send her to Dosuun and the First Order. These were the remnants of the true Empire, kept alive for nearly nine hundred years, biding their time and growing stronger. Sure, they'd pushed outwards not thirty years after the fall of the Emperor, but they had inevitably fallen back in upon themselves, not entirely ready for the task of bringing about the Emperor's dream, or even Snoke's at the time. Now, however, they had shown themselves more than capable. The Ascendancy saw them as a potential ally in the future, someone to get them out from under the stranglehold of the Iron Empire. For this reason, she had been sent.
Now, stepping off a transport, dressed in more or less civilian garb, she looked around herself in curiosity. Aside from a few Iron Empire folk, she had not had much experience with the outside galaxy. As such, she wasn't really certain where it was she was supposed to go. Her head turned one way, then the other, before noting a central desk with a droid. If her understanding of basic was good enough, a sign above it said information. She approached to wait in the line that had formed there. Patience was something she did, indeed, have.
