Intent: A new standard issue armament to give Stormtroopers a fighting chance against hostile lightsaber wielders, and as a non lethal ranged alternative to blaster rifles.

Special Features: Lever enables weapon operator to increase or decrease spread of the sonic blast to suit situations where accuracy or spread takes precedence.

-The further forwards the lever is pushed, the tighter the spread. The smallest the spread can be is a circular sonic wave with a diameter of 15cm.
-The further back the lever is pulled, the less tight the spread.The largest the spread can be is a circular sonic wave with a diameter of 150cm
Strengths:
-Sonic Weaponry is capable of penetrating simple shielding far more effectively than common blasters.
-Sonic blasts cannot be deflected by lightsabers, making them far more likely to significantly injure someone wielding one.
-Wide spread can hit multiple foes.
-Can shatter bone, debilitate enemies, rupture organs and disrupt the focus of force users.
-Foregrip folds up to allow easier storage.
Weaknesses:
-Battery Pack is exposed, a precise shot can disable the weapon.
-Short ranged compared to other weapons
-Incredibly loud, without a helmet and noise protection it can blow out the users ear drums.
-Can not be set to stun, only distance and limb shots enable targets to be taken out non lethally. Making capture difficult.
-Heavy, may quickly tire out users not used to the particually lofty weight. Subsequent decrease in accuracy could result in friendly fire if the blast fires near users feet.
-Though Sonic Weapons work in water, the wave will spread out much further. Massively increasing the risk of potentially lethal friendly fire.
-It takes a short amount of time to switch between wide and low spread.

Description: Developed in secret using data and plans collected by the ancient and once all powerful Galactic Empire. This weapon has been developed from the reverse engineered weaponry of the now extinct Geonosians, and the Imperial sonic pistols from long ago as a solution to increase Stormtroopers combat effectiveness and survivability against hostile lightsaber wielders, and to act as an effective means of ranged crowd control.

Sonic blasters are well known as a cruel and efficient weapon to those who can get their hands on them, capable of causing an enemy to bleed to death without shedding a drop of blood by rupturing someones internal organs and blood vessels. When facing foes who have encountered these weapons before or seen their effects and lived to tell about it, Stormtroopers armed with this weapon are likely to be immediately targetted due to the danger they present.

The X-11E utilises a containment sphere to trap its high impact concussive energy to prevent the sound dispersing uncontrollably into the area around it until it a target has been hit, increasing the weapons effective range and keeping its damage potential high at close range. At longer range, damage begins to fade after 50 meters as energy is lost due to the resisting force of air particles and as dust gathers at the waves head, which in significantly filthy areas may reduce visibility for both friend and foe a huge amount of dirt enters the air.

Past 50 meters, and up to 300. The wave carries enough power to shatter bone, rattle a brain to cause unconciousness, and can effectively wind targets or induce vomiting if the blast comes into contact with the stomach. At 300 meters +, much of the initial force is lost but the the sudden change in pressure can
still create dizzyness, migraines and pop someones ears.

The weapons discharge is also colourless, but is none the less visible by the way it moves through and displaces air.

Are all Stormtroopers using the sonic rifle? Are they all trained to? Is everyone accustomed to the weight? You can answer that here, no need to specify in the actual submission.

Change effective range to Short-Range Battlefield.

Also specify somewhere what the spread is like, and if there are selective ranges, throw them up as well.

For the ranges, it appears that you're using Geonosian sonic blaster and Imperial sonic blaster as a reference point for the sonic rifle.

Tag me when you've done that.

Spread specifications added to special features section, range is not selective.

Most Stormtroopers are in peak or near peak physical condition due to stringent control by the First Order. So most would be capable of lifting the weapon for short durations unless they're particually small or weak in a worst case scenario despite its sheer weight, but would not be trained to deal with its drawbacks, its range or have any knowledge of how to adjust the spread.

Only a small portion of troopers in each squad would be assigned training (though others would likely be able to apply for it) with this weapon, and only then if they meet physical requirements. So in most squads, only one to three Stormtroopers out of ten would be equipped with this weapon.

Drop down production to minor in that case. I picture with the First Order they'd assign Stormtroopers rather than allowing them to apply for it.

With the current ranges you have now, it won't shatter bone or rupture organs. With this rifle being the closest in the ranges you have, that one was only able to disrupt someone's balance and to cause disorientation. You can take that point out of the strength section.
 
Changing to minor.

That was an additional perk of said rifle, not its main effect. Sonic weapons smash bodies with kinetic energy, as opposed to the huge heat generated by blaster fire.

Alright, I see where I've made my mistake.

Detail as to how it works in the description. Is it fired in an encapsulated within a containment sphere? Describe what happens when it comes into contact with organic versus inorganic material in the description. Also, make sure to explain the damage beyond the effective range (40m) does it dissipate over the distance? What happens if it hits its target at max range?

As for the actual ranges, you can drop them entirely as it's not necessary, or drop the maximum to 400m.

I'm asking you to drop the range because the rifles were typically weaker in damage, but longer in range. The geonosian and imperial blasters you're referencing were basically pistols, so their ranges are far smaller, which typically have other ones, weaker ones being at 120m.
