Aithne Charr
Heir of Fire
Once more the galaxy had been invited to a night of peace and lights, stars in the sky and crafted by the hands of mortals on the ground. It was the second annual Festival of the Skyborn to which those who stood on Kesh were treated to once more. A holiday that had been created to remember the history and culture of the Keshiri and to bring people together for a single night.
His hands crossed behind him as what was once thought up as a ball had been expanded. Tahv was busier than it had ever been before, its streets were filled with people, their were bright lights lining the streets and the Circle Eternal was open with its view of the stars unobstructed by lights, creating a spectacular view of the stars. Solan had ordered fireworks prepared and this celebration’s highpoint would be this night as it had been going on and being prepared for several days now.
The entire thing was a place for people to relax, there would be no fighting today if he had anything to say about it. The event broadcasted throughout the galaxy, a night of peace, beauty, serene and clean air that held excitement and wonder. There remained first the Circle Eternal, a garden of absolute beauty with as little light as possible. It contained numerous flowers and flora of uncountable variety with the glow of small insects filling the air of the once public garden. The fountain letting a cool jet of water into the air and collecting as the statues stood with a watchful and peaceful gaze.
(Gonna have to imagine this one... no Pictures fit my dream of this place.)
The main streets, filled by shops and stands, selling all kinds of merchandise from flowers, to food, to clothing and masks. The lights adorning the buildings glowed softly and crossed over the streets like stars themselves. The scents of the air, a gentle breeze letting the scents of food and the crisp night air flow softly over those occupying the streets. Pulling at the strings of people’s hearts and loosening their muscles. The Starports, busy constantly in the past day were shut down for the night in Tahv at least, airfields and transport cleared several miles away in order to not obstruct the view of anyone whom would look up and see the stars above which which the Festival got its name.
A Ball in the palace for those of which saw themselves as to be here for a more stately way of celebration. Its doors were opened for those of which saw themselves, though it was not the only place that would hear the sounds of soft music for which set the peaceful mood. Great forums, normally cluttered by traffic and raging mobs were cleared out to allow for a much greater expanse for dancing. The sound of the many songs carried on that same crisp night air, out of the palace itself and through the very people that swarmed over the city for this event.
The plains outside the city open and watched, with all kinds of different things to find as well as the river that ran near the city filled with ancient styled boats for which people to be alone and together. Crafted wooden with very little more about them to be held. Simple two an ships that would be useable by any as long as they could find one. The flow of the water bringing them calmly down it to be alone and together under the sky. The water itself was as cool as the night air, calm and only the ripple of the boats disturbing it.
(Solan's IC section)
Solan all the while walked away from the city with his own plans for the night. He had abandoned his guards and his attendants, taking with him a simple device that he had bought a while back to look into the night sky with. It was a consumer telescope, meant to see the stars far off as if they were a million times closer and he smiled as his hands tightened on the strap of the bag.
He had no reason to remain around others for once, infact her felt tonight was a night he could truly spend a moment of free time exploring the old enjoyments he long forgot. As such there was also the case of a certain wooden instrument slung over his other shoulder as he walked into the plains outside the city.
It had been nice, walking through the streets with his eyes watching those around him. A few had recognized him but largely he had hidden himself from the people in the streets, letting them enjoy their night without him causing a ruckus. He remembered the past balls as he had walked through the streets though.
First there had been those moments he spent long ago, talking to his old friend he never saw anymore. He wondered if Lady Kay was doing well, curious if she spent her days fighting the hutts in his absence or if she had found more stable and less risky work. Then there was Taeli Rae. Another friend who he had not talked with for a long time. He wondered how she was doing with her products, and how he had had so little time to talk about business or her personal life.
Then there were those from the Empire that he was going to beat upside the head. Aedan and Romeo, two of his closest Allies in the past and old friends he could call on for a fight or a chat depending on their moods. He liked that about them, it was simple, and to be honest it made life easier when it came to dealing with those two as he could simply knock heads with them one day, than have a drink the next.
There had also been old fires he thought about for the moment. His first love, dead because of a disease he had not known how to cure and lost without knowing he had left behind a kid. Then there was Genevieve, who had gone crazy and become a shadow of her former self. A friend he would have stood beside without question had she not taken the road that she had so long ago. He also thought about Seanna for a moment, wondering how she was after all this time and curious what things are like for her with the Mandalorians she calls family now.
All the past people made him curious about how life would have changed without them. He laughed internally as his hand slung off the two cases, letting the touch the earth under him as he sat down on the grass out in the fields around Tahv. His hand withdrawing the violin from its case and as he closed his eyes and mind to the world he breathed in. He was going to enjoy the night, he knew that there was something different about it but for all he could tell it was going to be a beautiful night.
