Description:
Most commonly found in the asteroid of Kyrikal Feroxanium, or "Fauxraium" as many adventurers have taken to calling it, is a metallic substance that mimics Neuranium rather well. Like Neuranium it has an overly excessive density, and only a few millimeters worth of layering can stop scanners and radiation clear in their tracks. However, when exposed to plasma energy, or similarly superheated materials, it melts nearly instantaneously. As such it is utterly worthless for personal armor or construction of ships, buildings tanks, etc, actually hindering defense rather than aiding it. Furthermore the metal is also noted for it's chemical 'stubborness', namely, that no matter what substance it is mixed with it or what alloy is created with it retains it's weaknesses. Due to these weaknesses, along with the scarcity of the material Fauxranium is normally only used for radiation shielding in area's that have extensive radiation but little, if any, threat of combat.
