STRENGTHS / WEAKNESSES
+ Data Fiends: Protecting it, acquiring it, collating and manipulating it. Black Hats are trained to protect the Exchange’s secrets at all costs, as well as hunt for vulnerabilities on the networks of others.
+ Well Funded: With the considerable resources of the Economic Development Corporation at their disposal, these slicers work with top of the line equipment and corporate scalability.
- Combat Skills: Although encouraged to spend their free time at company shooting ranges, the average Black Hat is so untrained they may as well be a noncombatant. These slicers are mostly ineffective in any sort of firefight.
- Creative Programming: Organised crime doesn’t always attract the most talent. While proficient in their normal duties, it would likely require a whole team of Black Hats working in tandem to successfully fend off a truly talented slicer.

DESCRIPTION

Black Hats are data professionals that some way or another got swept up into the galactic underworld. Whether by choice or due to a variety of ‘incentive plans’, these computer specialists under the employ of Salvatrucha or one of its subsidiaries find themselves providing support and logistics for the the organisation’s illicit activities just as much as their legitimate fronts.

Although their capabilities lie in data analytics and writing malicious code, each is nonetheless provided with a company firearm for personal defense and the defense of Salvatruca property. Getting them to contribute effectively in a shootout is another matter.

While there are some clusters of Black Hat data farms, multiple Exchange slicers working in tandem in physical proximity, most work remotely and are distributed across the geographic area nearby their associated fronts. This can make tracking down every slicer a complex feat.

Just had a brief discussion with the Codex team and the sub-units are distinct enough that they warrant separate submissions. So, please move one of the two sub-units into their own submission.

Keep in mind that you can only have 3 submissions per section.
