• Weight: Heavy for its weight.
• Resistances:
• Blasters: Very High
• Kinetic: Average
• Lightsabers: Very High
• Other:
Sonic: Average
• EMP/Ion: No effective resistance
• Elemental: Extreme (heat and cold)
• Elemental: Very Low (electrical)

• Color: Bronze gold.
SPECIAL FEATURES
• Found only in the Tartarus system, now the only examples are those picked up by certain people during the Incursion crisis.
• Very dense.
• Can resist strikes and glances from lightsabres. Prolonged contact will eventually melt the metal.
• Can be melted into many forms of technology including personal armour plates, a blade or hammer or a shield.
• Is electrically conductive, meaning lightning or ion weapons can be more effective against it.
• Has an extremely high melting point, equivalent to 2000 Kelvin.
Strengths:
• Resistance. Orichalcum has considerable resistance to blasters, lightsabres, heat and cold.
• Mouldable. Orichalcum can be formed into a variety of objects such as swords, shields, personal armour plates and more.
• Heavy. In one sense a weakness, but in certain applications it can be beneficial. A shield or maul made from Orichalcum has a lot of mass behind it.
Weaknesses:
• Conductive. Orichalcum is highly conductive, providing no real defence against electrical attacks. A wearer will have to provide other resistances to that.
• Heavy. Orichalcum is a very dense metal. This gives it strength and resilience, but it also makes it more weighty to wear or carry.
• Rare. Aside from a dozen or so individuals, Orichalcum is extinct. If an item is destroyed or lost it cannot be replaced.
DESCRIPTION
The Shards who discovered Tartarus found the ruins of a precursor civilisation who had already built the Ring World before it. They had vanished, but their remnants remained, specifically a strange type of metal closer to neutronium than regular metal.
Flash forward eight centuries, and the coalition forces came to Tartarus and found that this incredible metal formed the ring and Dyson Sphere. Attempts by the shards to recreate its forging had failed and it formed the heart of the construction. Tough, resistant to heat and cold, but also necessarily conductive, the metal was found in many places.
Orichalcum was the name given by Firemane’s contingent which fought through the traps and throne room to bring down Onyx’s mad plan. At first glance the metal looked like copper, but had gold highlights, but was far more resilient than either. During the rapid exit from Tartarus, only a few individuals were able to pick up examples of this metal, but those who did found that it had military applications as personal armour, weapons or shields.
The advantages of this metal were immediately apparent. Like Beskar or phrik it was extremely resilient, but also was very strong against heat or cold. It was weak against lightning, but this was its only real downside except for the weight. More than that though it was a prestige piece, a unique thing only a few people managed to obtain.
