Due to being worn by many sith through the ages the dark side has slowly made its way into the very fabric of the robe, making the cloth far more durable and resilient than it was after it was crafted
Strengths:
- Dark Side Imbued: The Dark side within the robe has changed the modecular structure of it, making it a bit more resistant to attacks than a normal robe, but not nearly on the level of a piece of real armor
- In tune with the darkness: The robe is attuned to the dark side, giving the wearer a slight edge when it comes to focusing and channeling that energy
- Almost no defensive capabilities: As a robe there is only a very basic level of defense that it can offer, and even that only applies to the rather small surface that it covers.
- Old: The robe has seen many years, far longer than it was meant to be. Because of that even the durability created by the dark side is at its limit, and it requires to be constantly patched and repaired to not fall apart.
Abyss robe has seen many years, many ages and many groups of sith. Through the art of psychometry the sith lord was able to determine that the robe itself was created by a dark jedi, even before the sith became more than a race that evolved on the sands of Korriban. While it seems rather improbable, the robe somehow resisted the forces of violence and time, kept together by not much more than the darkness that lives within it. Every time a former wearer found a final end the robe ended lost and forgotten, only to be found by another followed of the darkness, mostly belonging to the next generation of sith or dark siders that came after.
That was how Abyss came into possession of the robe, the day he fell to dark side after his father was killed by a group of pirates. Like those before he was called by the darkness that it inherits and picked up the robe as a sign of his new allegiance to the dark side. Since then the robe has been part of Abyss attire for almost all his live, with only very few exceptions where he could not reveal himself as a sith.
