Enter the Jedi (Jedi Open? Sure public in Republic space)

Kaia Starchaser wasn't really sure what was going on. She had spent the majority of her early life aboard the Dawn Treader, the old Star Destroyer her family lived on. And served on. Serving the galaxy and making the galaxy safe for imperialization, or something. She wasn't quite sure. But what she did know was that there were limitations to the Force, her family was basically handicapped in the Force. And while she was good with recognzing the flow of energy around her, that was a Starchaser staple. Understanding when danger was coming, when it was time to move, and how the Force was flowing in someone else. That was basic. Something her father [member="Coren Starchaser"] always knew, same with Jared and even Cole, who she hadn't seen in... years?

But she was on her pilgrimage. She spent a few months exploring the galaxy, using her YT-2400, the Escape to find her place in the galaxy, learn about the cultures, the Force and where she wanted to be. That was what found her hunting down the Jedi, both in the Levantine Sanctum along the Rim and more in the Republic.
What did her family despise about this group? They were peaceful, working on learning, and working on trying to protect the galaxy, she supposed. But could she even work with them? She wanted to learn how to use the Force, not for destruction, but however it would react to her, and how she should respond to it.

On the way out of the Fringe, she visited the Omegas, and the ruins of Corellia, her ancestoral homeworld. She was one of the few Starchasers to not be born on the world. From there, she scouted out the Obsidian Knights, the technological Force users in the Abrion Corporate Authority, and even the Sith, but they weren't jiving with her. They seemed... too combat oriented. She wanted something else.

It'd been what? Months now? And she was just showing up on Onderon.

It seemed like the best place to start. But once she was in the starport, now where? The girl looked the part of a Spacer, worn denim and nerf hide jacket, a blaster on her hip and a backpack with some datapads. Shaded goggles on her eyes and a look of wonder on her face.

Hopefully the Force would bring her where she needed to go...

Veino strode through the starport of Onderon, travel sack slung over his shoulder and great-coat flapping loose. His hat was pushed back and his lightsaber on his belt. A strange look for a Jedi, to be sure, but there were strange going ons in the galaxy. And it helped he wasn't truly a Jedi, so he had his own traditions to stick to. Not to mention the fact that Jedi robes and tunics were too easily identifiable. He needed to slip in and out of areas without being noticed, especially not noticed as a Jedi.

Not that it was an issue here on Onderon, usually, but on other places, certainly. Like the places he had to go. The Outer Rim. The Core. Anywhere with the presence of wrongdoers who preyed on the innocent.

Then he felt it, a signature in the Force, wild and not yet fully trained. He studied the crowd that surged back and forth around him, some going, some coming.

Was that the person? A young woman in spacer's gear and looking a little lost. He shifted direction and headed towards her.
"Hello! You look a little confused! Can I point you towards somewhere or other?"

So, this was Onderon, huh? The spacer-chick was looking around. She didn't think she was any kind of punk, though the Ardellian girl she grew up with, who was living on the Treader still said that she looked like some sort of post-apocalyptic wanderer. That girl read too many books and watched too many holos, if you asked Jenn. Kind of like her cousin [member="Token Waters"]. Though she never had to go through a military lifestyle, living in the lap of luxury as her parents owned a successful shipping company on Corellia. Well, Brokellia. Sad, but still... Kaia never lived there.

She was basically Tali'Zorah, at times.

Maybe someday they could fix her home, maybe the Jedi did stuff like that? She knew that the Fel Empire seemed to be doing a little work, that was where her brother was, and then when Fel disappeared that brought her home, the warship to most people, to the Fringe Federation. And they were a good bunch of people, but... she needed to journey around. An Odyssey was what it was called, to some. Some would take it, some wouldn't.

She did.

Call it brave or stupid, didn't matter to her.

Her father also warned her about being out. She was going to be prey for the galaxy until she got a lock on her Force skills. But even he couldn't mask her identity any more. And he had a pretty forcefully dark side vibe. Just selfish, passionate and unbridled. For her? She didn't know how she would come across.

Wandering the spaceport, and looking around, she bit her lip. That was when she heard the voice. She jumped a little, to be honest and smiled. Running a hand through her artificially black hair, sporting a streaking of red, she shrugged. “I... I guess? I'm kind of lookin' for the Jedi. Like, where I'd find 'em.” Okay, so she purposefully dropped her Corellian-Spacer accent into something a little more like Talus. Big galaxy, not like people would recognize her. Besides, she didn't quite look like her brothers and father, more her mother, and very few people knew her.

But see? Straight answer. Too trusting to be world-wise. But did it seem like she could harm the Jedi? Ha.

Veino paused in his approach as a repulsor-sled loaded with cargo trundled past between him and the newcomer, and then walked forward, giving her a relaxed, easy grin. He'd noticed the jump. She was startled and on a spaceport on a strange world. That was never a good situation to be in, regardless if the startler was presumably a Jedi. Lots of folks could look a Jedi. Just stick a lightsaber looking thing on the belt and most people would stay far away. Or try to backstab.

He paused about two meters away and pulled his bag up higher on his shoulders to keep the strain off his back. Not that there was much strain, but it was from habit than anything else. It had taken him a while to learn how to best wear the pack. Now it wasn't so much of an issue.

"Looking for the Jedi.." He said slowly, studying her face. Lots of people went looking for a Jedi. People looking for help. Journalists. Grateful citizens. Bounty hunters. One Sith agents. She didn't look like any of them, especially with a Force signature. She seemed trustworthy enough, as far as he could tell from her behavior and the Force. "Well, there aren't a whole lot of them here. Most of them are on Ossus or Russan where the academies are."

He considered for a few more moments, "But I can take you to the representatives, at least."

Kaia was really enjoying being out in the world. She smiled even as the repulsor sled went by. It was just something new, she'd seen them before but she didn't remember every fething detail of this one. It was new! It was all new, the air and the water and the voices and faces. As for looking the part of a Jedi? She wasn't really like that. She was... well, she didn't know what she looked like. Out of place probably.

When the man stepped closer, she pushed her goggles up into the mass of artificially dark hair. She watched him, noticing him adjusting. Was she coming off as that much of a threat? His danger sense must be tingling. She knew he was a Force user, seemed to glow brighter than the rest in the local area.

If he was thinking that Kaia was anything of a threat, that was just being very overly cautious. Girl weigh all of a 100 lbs soaking wet. Granted, she knew how to throw other's weight around. Of course, anyone who was looking for Warbird Wing, or the Nightstingers or the Dawn Treader were immediately thrown into an interrogation chamber and questioned for a few days before they got their target, unless credits were thrown around. That made it a lot more simple.

“That'd be nice. I just figured, capital, I hear they take over the governments every so often.” She laughed, that was a joke. No matter what Anakin believed and how he really was the hero of the story, not some droid...

“Where would that be?"
