STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES:
As a Mirialan Eli is swift and agile, his body lithe and flexible. Through his upbringing within the Jedi Order he has become a dedicated student of the Force and has exercised a strong amount of willpower as a follower of the Traditional Jedi path. He has a high level of endurance through his constant training, and his body works at peak efficiency. His strong sense of morality ensures that he will be both empathetic and dutiful in equal measures, yet this may also cause him to struggle with morally ambiguous situations. Eli has little ability where lightsaber combat is concerned, as well as piloting, due to the limitations of his rank. He has utilized only a training blade in the form of Shii-Cho, yet is a capable hand to hand combatant.
Alongside this, his understanding of the Force is mostly limited to simple core abilities and written theories. His knowledge has been increased throughout the years, and his understanding of the Jedi Way is amiable. Presently he is limited in his worldly knowledge, due to a lack of experience, and has visited very few places within the Galaxy. Without a mentor to guide him, Eli has become very self sufficient and independent, training mostly in solitude. He is well versed in various forms of meditation, and spends the majority of his spare time exercising it.
APPEARANCE:
Eli stands at six foot tall and sports a lithe yet well toned body suggesting that he has been subjected to lengthy amounts of physical conditioning. His fine green skin is marred by the occasional scar and several black markings, each with their own significance in his past. The most noticeable is the one upon the right side of his face, which he earned upon becoming of age within the Jedi Order and earning the position of Jedi Initiate instead of Jedi Youngling. For Eli, this marks his future in the Galaxy and the certainty of the path he has followed since youth. His attire is strictly worn as standard issue traditional Jedi Initiate robes, beneath which he wears training garments. When meditating in private, or training in physically taxing activities, it is not uncommon for Eli's chest to be exposed, revealing further black markings, each with their own stories. His long black hair is mostly worn up in a topknot, yet when released it reaches down to his shoulders.
BIOGRAPHY:
Eli was born within the rugged dry planes of Mirial to an extremely poor family. The fifth child, he was initially looked upon as a blessing due to the fact that his parents had lost many children to famine and natural causes, however this did not last and soon he was another burden on an already struggling family. When a Jedi Recruiter arrived to collect a local child who was gifted with Force Sensitivity, Eli's parents took it upon themselves to press the Jedi for tests for all of their remaining children. The then one-year-old Eli was tested alongside his older siblings and was found to be one of two with the gift.
Taken by the Jedi, the pair were separated and sent to different Temples to be raised apart, in keeping with the Jedi Recruiter's more traditionalist approach to training Jedi. Eli was taken to Tython where he initially received schooling standard to all children across the Galaxy - how to interact with others in a positive manner, respect and ethics, written applications and basic mathematics. It was not until he was of an age with the other Younglings that his true training began, aged seven.
Eli was found to be an average student with potential to grow; he was attentive and eager, able to learn at a steady pace which ensured he was not overwhelmed with information. One thing he took to almost immediately, however, was meditation. He found the peace which wrapped around him each time he entered a meditative state warm and comforting. As time developed Eli settled into his new role as a Student of the Jedi and the Force itself. Yet as he grew, those around him who had been his fellow students began to gain their mentors in the form of a Master, and soon Eli was one of the few of his group left without.
This realisation led him to become somewhat introverted; he preferred his own company, training in solitude to improve his natural agility, his endurance, yet this limited much of his training to practise rather than learning anything new. Over time his body strengthened and muscles toned, allowing him to become at the peak of his being, and his knowledge of the Jedi way widened through frequent journeys to the Jedi Archives and understanding through meditation.
