OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
  • Intent: To create a supporting batch of minion NPCs for this character.
  • Role: A personal militia in the service of Drako, forming the initial part of his power base as well as providing support in combat. Auxiliary duties may include security and enforcement roles.
  • Permissions: N/A
  • Links: Armorweave, Dur-24 Wrist Laser, Dioxis Grenade, Combat Gloves
GENERAL INFORMATION
  • Unit Name: Vigils of Drako
  • Affiliation: Drako
  • Classification: Militia
  • Description: Wearing grey pants and short-sleeve shirts beneath a black sleeveless armorweave hooded vest, eyes obscured by a pair of dark goggles, and the way they carry themselves the unit looks more like a well funded gang. A sewn on inverted pentagonal patch on the back of their armorweave vests sports three vertical red bars.
COMBAT INFORMATION:
  • Unit Size: Small
  • Unit Availability: Semi-Unique
  • Unit Experience: Recruit
  • Equipment: Armorweave Vest, Dur-24 Wrist Laser, Dioxis Grenade, Combat Gloves, Goggles, Grey Pants & Shirt, Combat Boots
  • Combat Function: Often looked down upon by law enforcement and as burdens by professional soldiers. Lightly armed and armored the unit is incapable of dealing with many threats that can shoot back at them. They are more capable at terror tactics, looting, sabotaging infrastructure, and enforcing edicts on civilian populations.
Strengths:
  • Terror Tactics: Enforcers, investigators, and executioners. Spreading fear among a group is the primary tool of the units, and they are rather adept at utilizing their limited arsenal to provide reason to even veteran troops to steer clear of their bad side.
  • Loyalty: These units are comprised of handpicked non-force users not for their combat prowess but for the most valuable trait of all. This unit will never turn on Drako and will follow his commands to the best of their ability even if initially sounds like a suicide mission.
  • Ambushers: In an attempt to even out their lack of experience and weaponry these units may attempt to set up an ambush. While these ambushes are not very intricate, the unit's more veteran members have learned a thing or two.
Weaknesses:
  • Trial & Error: No formal training. These units' members learn by trial and error, and lack the expertise to organize themselves past what you may reasonably see from a gang of veteran street fighters. Often this means relatively high casualties in true combat zones.
  • Logistical Absence: The units lacks any form of material support from a wider military supply chain and so they rely solely on what they can loot or Drako can provide to them. Which normally isn't very much.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Formed in 864 ABY by Drako during the civil war raging between the New Imperial Order and The Sith Empire, as a means to establish a power base in the quickly shifting landscape of Sith politics, they have seen limited combat. During Drako's little known raiding expeditions (overlooked due to their limited scale, low priority targets, and the general chaos of an interstellar war) against both the Sith Empire and New Imperial Order the units went unacclaimed. Now that Drako has joined ranks with the third party of the civil war, the Warlords of the Sith, he hopes to bring himself and his fledgling power base to the forefront of more glorious ventures to elevate his status. In order to have a fresh supply of minions, the recruiting process into the militia is normally done from freshly conquered prisons.
