STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES:

Strengths
  • Military Brat: Captain Pryce was enrolled in the CorSec Military Academy when he came of age and was drilled in hand to hand, marksmanship, starfighter piloting, tactics, and capital ship combat. While he may not be a master of any of them, they provide him a very solid plus when he needs to put those skills to use.
  • Exotic Weapons Training: During his time during an exchange program on Mandalore he learned a variety of weapons skills including, but not limited to: the Force Pike, Blastsword, Beskad, Spear, and Elctrostaff
Weaknesses
  • Low Constitution: Since birth Dracken has been more susceptible to infections and bouts of illness and exhaustion. While he was able to build up his general stamina he becomes useless over something as simple as the common cold.
  • Addiction to Frozen Desserts: Dracken doesn't have much of a sweet tooth, but when it comes to anything frozen that is a desert he HAS to try it.
  • Caf Please: Addicted to caffeine

Personality:

Despite his length of service and CorSec's harder leanings when it came to criminal justice, Pryce has always had a trusting and soft heart. While he would never shy away from conflict he also wasn't one to shirk his responsibilities as a CorSec Officer or boast his accomplishments. He is reserved in his approach to life contrast to his Corellian roots and would rather see a smuggler live another day than shoot down their ship for bringing stolen medical goods to the Rebellion. He is also far less harsh on those under his command, contrasting to other CorSec Officers like Jorm Kell or even the Director of CorSec.

BIOGRAPHY:
Officer Hopeful to Sith Slave
Dracken Pryce was born on Corellia as the son of a shipwright during the final years of the Gulag Plague. His father was a shipwright and found work with Corellian Engineering Company. When the mercenary company known as Omega Pyre took residence in Corellia and later became a full-fledged government, Pryce Sr. sent the young boy to the Protectorate’s military school where he would graduate from to go on to becoming a Protectorate naval officer. His career with the navy was short-lived.

Risen from the ashes of the Sith Empire, the One Sith launched a surprise assault on the people of the Galaxy, crippling the Galactic Republic and throwing the Protectorate into chaos. During their war with the One Sith, Pryce was captured and forced into slavery by the Dark Side powered empire. He was heavily conditioned to the point of brainwashing and thrown at the combined armies of the Republic and Omega Protectorate as cannon fodder. During the conflict, he would kill several young Jedi and hundreds of Protectorate men and women either by his own hand or by his orders. He became nothing more than a Sith Raider. Towards the middle of the war, however, elements of the One Sith military split violently from their Force wielding masters. Caught in the middle, Pryce took the chance to escape and fled with Isamu Baelor and his separatists.

Iron Empire to the Fall of the Alliance
It was an uncertain time for Pryce. The Unknown Regions held many mysteries and even more dangers. He wasn’t even sure if he would be able to make it but when his shuttle landed in the subterranean spaceport of Csilla and he was greeted by the Iron Empire’s armed forces he knew he’d made the right decision. He spent the next few years of his life serving the Iron Empire, deep in the Unknown Regions. He learned to speak the Chiss language fluently very quickly due to their near-constant dealings with the Ascendency. Most of his time was spent as a First Officer aboard one of the Iron Imperial cruisers, taking out pirates, raiders, and would-be invaders, hoping somewhere deep down, that this was at least some form of penance for the atrocities he’d committed during his time with the One Sith.

It didn't last long though. The Iron Empire wasn’t as rigid as its name would suggest and it began to crumble from its own ambition. Its system spanning fleets were either defeated by insurgents or sold as scrap to pay for their debts. Isamu and his ruling class of elites abandoned the empire they helped create to retreat to their own world and Pryce resigned from the military, or rather deserted, as a Captain and returned to Corellia but his home had changed. During his time in the Unknown Regions, several Galaxy-spanning events had taken place, including the near-destruction of his homeworld during the Netherworld Crisis. Now Corellia was borderline unlivable and a thick asteroid belt made up of the shattered world and the strange world that had materialized in Corellia’s orbital position. Covered in biodomes and surrounded by terraforming stations and vessels, Corellia was a shell of its former self and so was his family. His mother had been killed in the incident and his father was terribly injured. The only one that seemed physically okay was his sister who still had nightmares about the events that Pryce was absent for. In fact, he had been entirely absent for his sister’s birth and so he was an enigma to her.

Despite his despicable acts in the war and despite Corellia’s state of affairs, he was welcomed home as a war hero and awarded First-Class Bloodstripes for his courage and mental toughness. By then though, the Protectorate had crumbled and the One Sith were knocking on Corellia’s doorstep. He joined the Corellian navy and was given the rank of Captain.

Luckily in the wake of the Protectorate and the Republic a new force, the Galactic Alliance, had formed. Corellia joined their cause and Pryce was moved to a new Corellian battlecruiser ship type. The Colony-class battlecruiser became his and the ANS Starchild along with its accompanying battlegroup was at his disposal. The Alliance was pushing the One Sith back, but it was only a ruse. Just as before the Sith had crumbled and been reborn, like a dark wraith haunting the Galaxy. Along with a new faction from the Unknown Regions and Outer Rim, a group called the First Order, the reconstituted Sith Empire struck out against the Alliance. Pryce had been in a state of near-constant war for the entirety of his adult life. Betrayed by the Jedi Order, if one could believe it, the Sith Empire was given a backdoor to Coruscant. As part of the response, the ANS Starchild and her crew were en route to the capital world but were intercepted at Fondor, caught in a First Order interdiction trap. The battle was bloody and saw the near-destruction of the Starchild and its task force. If it hadn’t been for the pilots of Rogue Squadron Pryce would have died that day, but with their interdictor destroyed the remaining forces fled. That was when the news hit.

The Alliance had fallen.

Exile to Operation Corellian Freedom
In exile with no place to go and not knowing what to do he turned to his comrades and Rogue Squadron. On the run from the forces of the Sith Imperial Bloc of the First Order, Sith Empire, and Galactic Empire, Pryce and another Rogue Squadron pilot by the name of Ava Cartwright began confiding in one another. Far outside the rules of any military now and with nothing to lose the two became quick friends. When the call came to meet at D’qar by the remaining Alliance Exiles Pryce was promoted to Commander and was tasked with leading a roving battlegroup with their only directive being to strike hard and strike fast against the Sith and their allies.

After some refits at a Mandalorian shipyard deep in Outer Rim Coalition space, old Alliance allies on Corellia sent word via encrypted vidcom that a Corellian Rebellion against the Imperial Bloc would be occurring within the week. Pryce jumped at the chance to retake his home and task force Starchild entered the battle too late and the Imperial Bloc forces at Corellia were easily able to push the task force back. It wouldn’t be until the New Republic emerged and launched their own assault that Pryce was able to aid in the liberation of Corellia. The battle was won but with heavy casualties from task force Starchild. Ava Cartwright was nearly among them. It wouldn’t be until after this devastating battle that the pair became lovers, finally confirming what they had been feeling since Fondor. The pair moved in together after Pryce officially left the Alliance in Exile and took up a commission with the New Republic as a Rear Admiral. The two only had a short time together however as Ava still had misgivings about the nascent New Republic after hearing of its recent migration. She still felt like she could do more good with the Alliance and so when Pryce and the Starchild went on to their first assignment Ava returned to the Outer Rim. The pair would meet up from time to time over the two years the New Republic held Corellia.

An Independent Corellia
After over a decade of changing hands and being left to the Sith, Corellian sentiments towards independence were rising. Despite their aid in throwing off the Imperial Bloc, the New Republic continued to show weakness in the form of disorganization and their choice in leadership. From the time of the Netherworld Crisis, through the Imperial Bloc occupation, and the years under the New Republic the Corellian people had rebuilt the world “on their own” without a large government to support them and had even begun producing a war fleet in the Kiris asteroids. With the Imperial Bloc removed and the New Republic’s lack of restrictions on military development, Corellian leadership began spending more and more credits on building their navy.

By the time of the New Republic’s Battle of Kuat, the Corellian Starfleet rivaled that of the New Republic itself. The Battle of Kuat resulted in a devastating loss for the New Republic. Portions of Kuat’s ring were left inoperable, the Confederacy of Independent Systems had occupied the space with their superior Starfleet, and someone at Republic High Command had leaked the full schematics of all their military hardware, their military patrol routes, and other classified military documents. Enough was enough and Corellia had the power to do something. Corellia seceded from the New Republic, taking several of the neighboring systems along with it.

Losing a major military power in the New Republic, they crumbled internally as Corellia closed its borders and trade with them. Critically injured in the battle, Pryce recovered on Corellia as the world began creating a new nation. Dubbed the Corellian Confederation, it quickly grew to be one of the dominant forces in the Core, and when he fully recovered Pryce joined the new Defense Force and took command of the Starchild II. Aiding in the defense of several systems and playing a pivotal role in the Battle of Balmorra, Pryce was awarded the rank of Admiral and became Second-in-Command of the Corellian First Fleet. In an ironic turn of events, after securing a large portion of the Core Worlds from bandits, despots, and Imperial Remnants, the Confederation voted all in favor of becoming a republic, taking a title of the same name. The Corellian Defense Force was changed into something new, The Grand Navy of the Republic.

After a majority vote in the Senate, the High Republic joined the Core Alliance forming a new Galactic Alliance. For a time, unsure of where to go, he stayed on as an advisor to the greatly downsized Corellian navy, taking the honorary rank of General. He was convinced to join the Alliance as a System Admiral.
