BIOGRAPHY:
As Dietrich Klein
Born into slavery, love and kindness was something Dietrich never experienced. As a result, he has little regard for the feelings of the well-being of others.
As a slave, Dietrich was owned by a sadistic master who took pleasure from torturing his slaves and breaking them both mentally and physically. Every night, his owner would have several slaves randomly brought to his chambers where he would do unspeakable things to them – Dietrich was one of the lucky ones who were fortunate enough to experience it only several times. After his first experience of this torture, he learnt the ability to blend in and look inconspicuous. Because of this experience, Dietrich sees humans as something that can be used and disposed of.
During his time as a slave, Dietrich observed other slaves, his master and his men and learnt to read them and think like them. While other children spent their childhood playing, he spent his childhood learning how to hide, building a high pain tolerance and learning to put on a poker face.
When Dietrich was 11 years old, he escaped by stealing a deactivator wand from his master on a day he was auctioning slaves he tired of - this was one of the biggest risks he has ever taken in is life. Had he been caught, his master would have certainly had him taken to his chambers and tortured him to death. Fortunately, all the years he spent at practising the art of blending in and hiding helped him greatly in this.
After escaping, Dietrich made a living by learning how to be inconspicuous and blend in with crowds so he can pickpocket and steal from others. However, pickpocketing was something that was already prevalent in the city and pickpockets were caught and punished sooner or later. From his experience as a slave, Dietrich understood how terrible it is for someone to have their freedom taken away from then so he stopped pickpocketing and started gathering information that he would sell to whoever would pay for it. Dietrich knew his methods were insufficient at the time so he taught himself slicing, fixing up a data pad to assist him.
After spending a few years in this profession and having a bounty put on his head, Dietrich knew he had to assume a new identity for his own safety. Due to the his lack of trust of humans, he knew his new identity wasn’t one he could just purchase so Dietrich found an orphan around his age who was being transferred to another orphanage, the real Dietrich Klein, killed him, altered the records and assumed his identity.
Over years, Dietrich has greatly improved his slicing skills to the point where his intrusions are only evident to those who are most skilled. He has also become skilled in several aspects of technology as both a hobby and to assist in his profession.
Becoming Dmitry Nikolai Kozachenko
After many years, Dietrich's former owner hired a private inspector to track him down and return to the place from where he escaped to have a meeting with the man. Although he was initially reluctant, he was tempted by a promise of a large sum of credits as a fee.
Arriving at the manor, the old lord informed Dietrich that he was in need of an heir as he was castrated, his wife and sons were murdered before him and all his slaves murdered as revenge from one of his enemies. The old man then informed Dietrich that he had been keeping tabs on him since his escape as he was the first and only slave to do so. He then confirmed Dietrich’s suspicions, the old man was his father and his mother was a changeling slave who committed suicide not long after Dietrich’s birth when she was unsupervised.
Having told Dietrich all the information he felt his illegitimate son needed to know, the lord offered to legitimise the bastard and make him his heir - an offer Dietrich accepted. Once he adopted the family name becoming Dmitry Nikolai Kozachenko and becoming heir to the family, Dmitry manufactured a fatal electronic malfunction, killing his 'father'.
Upon inheriting his family fortune, Dmitry changed the Kozachenko family's generations long allegiance from the Republic to the dark side, breaking family tradition - something he knew his 'father' would have resented him for. Although the dark side it is a universally known fact that the Sith are evil, they do not hide it unlike the Republic who covers up the misdeeds of respected families.
