Deep Black Sea: Ghost Ship [The Kathol Outback]

Over the past several days, spacers in the Kathol Outback have picked up disturbing transmissions -- distress calls and worse. Bereth-Aku sages and Aarisi witches report strange dreams, and the Temple of Binaros is on edge. Now the remote Adeline Cluster has called for aid. The One Sith battlecruiser Ophidia has barrelled through the checkpoint at Veska and vanished into the Cluster. Answering no hails, returning no fire, it still left a wake full of dead ships and stranger things.

The battlecruiser’s purpose is unknown. What’s clear is that it carries something deeply and irrevocably wrong.

The remote frontier worlds of the Adeline Cluster look a lot like Ord Mantell or Tatooine. Systems rely on old patrol boats and rusty fighters for defense. The Royal House of Adeline rules the star cluster (more in name than in reality) from Aposka: the High King has requested Underground assistance. To complicate matters, the star cluster is home to several pirate crews, including the notorious Stiletto gang.

Location: Jumping in system, towards Veska

The Cyaron and the Lily White dropped out of hyperspace just barely inside the Veska system.

They were here in advance of a much larger force, and their captain was nervous.

The Outback had been receiving strange distress calls from the system for the past few days, and they had been summoned to assist the monarchy to put an end to whatever was causing it. They were going in blind, and the place was crawling with pirates...great.

Her next words were broadcast two both bridges, knowing her crews would listen faithfully,"Listen up everyone, we've arrived in system, and we're here to find out who's been causing these people, and us, such a headache. I want you all to keep your heads about you and on a swivel. Keep all weapons ready and watch each other's backs out here."

Her small speech earned her a nod from a former Sith commander, whom she had somewhat guide her in her endeavor as a new ship captain.

They would hold position until some of the main force arrived...

"How did I end up in command of this thing?"

Kytra sat on the bridge with her chin propped in her hand and her elbow resting on the armrest. Sure, she'd been instrumental in the capture of the ship, but she'd nearly died afterwards while trying to save the people of Corellia from a couple of stupid Sith. So much for her having a good time of things. Regardless, she wasn't dead, and as a result of what Veino had done, she felt more free than she had since she was young. Thanks to him, she felt free of the beast that had kept her in chains for so long. But she still didn't feel whole. Some part of her was lost, now, and he felt that she'd struggle eternally in looking for it.

"Probably because nobody else wanted to."

"Shab. Just kriffing shab."

She sighed and poked at the arm rest a couple of times before sitting up. There was work to be done, and moping around wasn't going to change that.

"Well, we know the ship came in here. The only way out is blocked by our forces so it's our duty to find it. We stand a good chance of running alone and faster than the enemy. So, let's tag a stab in the dark."

"Eh? A stab in the dark?"

"Just shut up and jump us to Adekka."

She glowered at Mals and the woman grinned back at her, offering a total smartass salute.
"Yes, ma'am. Right away ma'am. Whatever you say ma'am."

"I swear, Mals, I'm gonna wipe that smirk right off-"

And she was suddenly tossed out of her seat, because she'd been leaning in it, as the ship jumped to hyperspace. What a way to get things started!

Distress signals again. They would be the death of her sooner than later. Last one she'd responded to had been Polis Massa and had involved two galactic fleets and an ancient battlecruiser. Now here was, deep in the Outback, responding to distress signals after a One Sith battlecrusier had punched its way through the region, leaving a trail of devastation in her wake.

Now Aeshi and Eru were here in the Veska system to pursue. Which, as she just discovered, not only did it include a giant Sith warship fleeing from something, or to somewhere, the cluster was riddled with pirates. Pirates didn't bother her. The StarDream would outrun just about anything pirates could afford, unless they managed to hit the engines first. Interdiction field? No both. The hyperdrive bubble would slide right through that. Tractor beam? That's why she had a tractor shroud. Ion cannons? Well, she'd paid for a cap-drain for a reason.

A few larger ships dropped out of hyperspace. Aeshi checked the scanners- frigates, Outback registered now. Results of the recent Sucker Punch operation, no doubt, unless they were One Sith infiltrators, which was certainly possible. Weirder things had happened in this part of space.

Aeshi hopped on the comm.

"This is Captain Aeshi Tillian of the StarDream. Responding to distress signals in conjunction with Underground and Outback response teams. Any updates on our mystery ship?"

She pulled a chart of the cluster, marking out the distances and locations of the known hyper-routes. It wasn't particiularly large, and with the Zephyr drive, she could get pretty much anywhere in the cluster within one jump. Some of the distant, smaller systems would be a tad trickier, but she could manage them.

The question was where to go. Sounded like one ship was en route to Adekka. No point leading a task force around the cluster without knowing where the target was. That was something her ship was uniquely situated for. Sensors that track ships half a star system away? Check. Fast hyperdrive? Check. The ship was a beauty alright, but if she ran into a fight, she'd be in trouble.

"Eru, what do you think?" Aeshi asked, leaning back in her captain's chair, studying the charted display. Her co-pilot studied the charts.

"The ship's probably not at the capital," he mused, pointing to the center of the cluster, "I'd run to the far edges..." His voice trailed off suddenly. "Or somewhere between systems if I didn't want to be found."

Aeshi nodded slowly.

"Agreed. Adekka's covered. Need to go somewhere else. Send as many ships to as many systems as possible. Find the target and call reinforcements." She sat upright in her chair, resting her chin on her fingers. "Let's jump to the far side. Catch them off guard with ships on both sides." Aeshi grinned and began typing into the navcomputer, addressing the commander of the two vessels, @Kimiko.

"Jumping to Simbayka. I can run scouting operations and report back to you from hyperspace. We'll need back up in case we hit a firefight, so don't stray too far behind." She reached up to the roof of the cockpit and flipped a couple switches, preparing the shield and sensors. "Might want to check the Tarka systems when you go through."

"Coordinates and route set, cap'n," Eru noted. Aeshi smiled. It was a wild smile, fey even.

"Roger that, prepare to jump in three...two...one.."

She punched the hyperdrive and the ship bolted forward, sending stars to blue streaks and then to blue clouds.

"Response teams," Aeshi added through the hyperwave comm, "StarDream on a nonstop scout mission Simbayka." She unstrapped herself from the seat and stood, walking into her quarters. They were sparse, just a bunk and a small chest for clean clothes. Her gun-belt hung draped over the edge of the chest and she grabbed it, buckling it around her waist. There would be shots fired before the end.

Of that, she was sure.

The Golden Fleece

The Rattataki captain looked over the incoming data as he put the bottle of pimbrellan rum to his lips. As the last quarter of the strong spirit slid down his throat he came to a decision. Slamming the empty bottle on the table before him, he stood up and with a hateful smile left his personal quarter. As he walked to the bridge the normal sight one could expect were going on around him. Men who had enjoyed too much of their share lay passed out on the ground while men with desire in their eyes chased the well-paid chamber maids that about the ship. The Stilleto's were known as a joyous group, one that if you paid their price and didn't give them any trouble it would only cost you credits and little more. They were toll collectors, not really evil per say. However, as Captain "Tall Tide" walked to his bridge there was hate in his heart.

As he entered there was no saluting or acknowledgment of any kind. As was custom after a big score the crew was in full celebration, enjoying the fruits of a successful heist. Captain "Tall Tide" was in no mood for frivolity today and walked straight up to his first officer, a Twi'lek who was enjoying the company of a female of his race.

"Captain, what you doing bac..." He began to say before he and his friend were pulled from the command chair and thrown to the floor. Before he could object "Tall Tide" shot him and look that said... Speak and I'll kill you. So smartly the scorned pirate said nothing and just moved away.

Taking a seat on the bridge he opened an internal channel and broadcast it to the whole ship. "Attention you bloody wastes, give your ear you blasted scoundrels. We got is a situation that needs immediate fixing. Today I got a report of three more of our fleet going down. That makes a total of seven ships in the past three days. Now some of you may have heard stories of ghost and other poodoo, but that is utter rubbish. We all know who is doing this, that group calling themselves liberators and freedom fighters. Well, that freedom nonsense is about to stop. Boys it is time to show them what it means to cross the Stilleto's, so strike the colors and get ready to make way. This time tomorrow we exact revenge!"

Shouts of "Rrrrr" and the like rang out across the bridge as the Tall Tide slashers responded in one voice to support their captain, all ready to follow him into the teeth of battle and glory.

The Revenant Dawn came out of hyperspace, the streaking stars slowing to become pinpoints in a much larger canvas of black. Dax's eyes were filled with the sight of the Veska system, dusty ball and its star together, circling each other endlessly. The rather serene scene seemed to contrast to the grave situation at hand.

The recent distress calls recieved by the Outback had been cause for concern. Already several ships had been deployed, arriving before Dax's much smaller Protector Class Corvette. Looking at the starchart Dax pointed to another system. "Adekka...that's as good of a place to start as any I guess..." From behind him, a mechanical voice spoke, "Query: Why is Adekka "as good of a place to start as any"?" Dax chuckled quietly as he turned to face one of the three Security Droids he'd obtained. "Just a figure of speech One." with a small smile on his face. "Noted. Shall I share this information with Designations zero-zero-two and zero-zero-three?" "If you'd like." The droid stood still for a moment, a mechanical whirring the only sound as Dax input new co-ordinates. "I will." spoke the droid finally, turning away to commune with the others. Smiling, Dax set his course and engaged the hyperdrive, the stars once again becoming streaks of light.

The cluster was small enough that a decent subspace distress beacon could broadcast throughout it, mainly by bouncing off local relays. All the Undergrounders would hear the distress call from a smuggler in the Adekka system. The call was panicked, garbled. He'd dropped out of hyperspace right on top of a three-thousand-metre battlecruiser, and now something had boarded his ship without physical contact. Ghosts, he kept saying. Ghosts killed Two-ears and Flintsoul.

Within thirty seconds he'd gone silent. Ten seconds later, Dax Fyre and Kytra Odran exited hyperspace in the wreckage of the smuggler and the shadow of the Ophidia.

The battlecruiser didn't fire, just began powering up its hyperdrive, but a deep chill began to permeate both Underground corvettes. One starweird slipped aboard each ship, right through the hull - before the shields could be raised post-jump. One at a time, crewers began to die. A starweird was no mean threat.

As the Revenant Dawn sped through hyperspace, a stow away boarded the vessel, its body passing through the hull of the ship. It found itself in a dark room. And yet it could see. It could feel. There was a dark prescence close by. Very close. Floating over to one of the shelves opposite a bed the creature reached it skeletal hand outward, the black claws touching the lid of a simple wood box. Just as the box had been opened halfway the Revenant Dawn dropped out of hyperspace, a new presence, caught somewhere between the Light and the Dark, had become much more apparent. The box fell shut as the starweird began to approach the presence.

Dax watched as the stars, which should have fallen back into place, a daunting battlecruiser taking the place of the pinpoints of light. Dax jumped, his heart skipping a beat as he slowed the Corvette before it crashed into the mich larger ship, becoming nothing but another piece of space junk.

Checking the scanner, Dax tried to find known readibgs of the ship, attempting to identify it. OSS Ophidia...phrik...just my luck... Dax thought to himself. Of course he'd drop out on top of a One Sith Battlecruiser. On the other hand it had been one of the vessel to send out a distress beacon, so that had to count for something. Another reading caught the young man's eye. A Corsaire Class Corvette, The Farstrider. That must've been one of the ships the Outback had recently pilfered. Hailing the friendly ship Dax spoke, turning as he did so to go retrieve his blaster pistol and slugthrower, "Farstrider this is the Revenant Dawn. You seeing what I'm see-what the phrik are you?!" a cry of pain went over the comms as Dax covered his ears, the intense screaming not stopping. The skeletal creature before him advanced closer, seemingly unaffected by the telepathic onslaught. Cause that blasted thing is the source. Dax could barely here his own thought above the sharp piercing cry resounding in the halls of his mind. The thing was within reach now. Drawing his saber the blade growled to life, swinging in a deadly arc towards the thing's neck. And yet where Dax had expected resistance he found none, the blade passing through it as if it were just a mist. The thing brought up it skeletal hand, the black claws taking on an unearthly orange glow cast by the light of the saber. Just as the claw came slashing down towards the Jedi, Dax brought his hand up and unleashed a torrent of the Force, throwig the apparition backwards through the wall of the cockpit, not a single dent appearing in the pristine durasteel.

Panting slightly Dax stood. That attack had taken far too much effort...the screaming had become unbearable...looking at the dashboard Dax saw the green loght of the comms dutifully blinking, sending every sound through to the Farstrider. "Farstrider, come in."

Letting go of the controls John glances around looking for any, weird objects or anything before checking his scanners reading... nothing. He hits the console realizing that it must be broke. Mumbling under his breath something about nerf herders he walks to the back room and grabs some equipment. His blasters gleamed as he holstered them in then he glanced over at the grenades, maybe not now but they could be handy later. Looking around for his favorite hat he wastes a few minutes until realizing the brute of a women from Nar Shaada still had it from their last encounter.... shivering about the thought he goes back to the control panel and calls up Felix from his spot recharging.

"Give me a full analysis on this situation buddy."

"Yes master..."

Felix started listening off and replaying the broadcasts as John listened to them leaning in his chair looking back at Felix as he did so, not paying attention to the scanner or window...

Werah sat in the Captain's chair of his personal cruiser, "The Void-Maker". About 20 crew members sat around him in the bridge, relaying all of the ship's systems. Odd transmissions had been coming from this area, and Werah planned to find out what they where. He was looking for the OS cruiser that passed though here not long ago. The scanners on the ship were all blank, receiving nothing from the system as they prepared to jump. Werah gave the order, and the stars in the large windscreen began to blur and stretch into lines as the ship jumped into hyperspace. Werah was not really worried about any dangers he might find, as after the massive planetary invasions he had recently commanded, he figured that finding one ship wouldn't be too hard. Werah gave a half-smile under his mask, as the ship sped along...

"Holy..."

"Shields up!"

By the time they'd come out of hyperspace, Kytra had managed to right herself in her seat. Worst of all, she'd managed to assume command of the ship. She really did dislike the idea of commanding a ship in space. Space was a strange, cold place where if you died, the only people that heard you scream were the people dying with you. And death in space? Your body would freeze up, becoming a popsicle in the middle of a vast emptiness. Worst of all, if you drifted, you might enter some planets atmosphere and burn up. Or a star. She didn't much like the idea of her body hurtling through space into a star.

"They're not charging weapons, they're charging their hyperdrive!"

"Do the same and follow them! Triangulate their vector! Decipher their trajectory! I don't know! Do something!"

Yep. Not used to this sort of thing.

"We're getting reports of people dying below deck! I tried to call down to medical but all I'm getting are screams!"

She rubbed her temples before communications spoke up.

"What about this hail from the Revenant Dawn? She jumped in right behind us."

"I don't bloody know! Tell them we see the ship and are following but we're busy dealing with... something or other!"

"Right."

Bloody hell. First they actually managed to find the monstrosity of a ship, and then her people were magically dying? What in the name of the Force was going on? She groaned and climbed out of her chair, aware that the last time she hadn't been sitting down when they jumped she'd wound up in a heap on the floor. It didn't matter, though. There was something going on below decks and she had a sick feeling in the pit of her stomach about it. She'd heard tell of the ghosts that inhabited space, but their sightings were so rare that she hadn't ever actually believed that she would meet one.

She ran down through the ship, descending until she started to feel a cool presence and heard a scream echoing through the halls that she knew wasn't from any creature she'd ever seen before, and definitely didn't belong to her crew. It came with a sense of chill terror. Instantly, she drew her lightsaber and ran towards the source of the sound. If there was one thing you could count on with Kytra, it was that she was going to run TOWARDS the danger.

Rounding a corner she spotted it. Strange and sickly looking. It floated in the air. Several dead crew members were strewn about. Others were having the life drained out of them. That all stopped, though, when it noticed her presence. It screamed and charged right at her. The scream was intoxicating, and not in a good way. She clamped her hands over her ears and felt the desire to run course through her. Run! RUN! But she didn't run. She'd faced real fear so many times in her life that it was less powerful to use such a thing against her. On top of that, with the darkness gone, and a sense of purpose like saving people, there was little that could stop her forward momentum.

The creature came at her, and she reached out with the Force and stopped it. Not just sending it away, she literally used the Force to envelope the creature and freeze it into place. It was a lot like when she used stasis, but it was more powerful. Though the creature might struggle, and though it could use abilities of its own, like the lightning that reached out from its fingers that she caught on her lightsaber, it could not move.

"Get. Off. My. Ship."

She threw the lightning back at the creature, sapping right into it, grabbed it with the Force, and literally threw it straight through the hull of the vessel and back into the blackness of space. She stood seething, and then drew her comm.

"Tell me we're still on the ship."

"We're following it."

"Good. Put a shipwide alert out. I need anyone with any medical skill up here to help those who are wounded. And let me know when we're coming out of hyperspace again. I want to deal with that ship."

Boneshatter-class assault frigate; Heaven's Bane.
Location: currently in hyperspace, en route to...somewhere.

When his long time companion gave him command over an assault class frigate, he went ballistic. Being the picky bastard he was, he had the entire ship repainted black, the once red stripes along the hull now gold, with a grinning skull on the side for that dramatic effect he always loved.

Standing on the bridge, the sounds of his crew mates surrounding him, he was at home, back out on the field, chasing a ghost ship with one person on it. Wearing his all black military fatigues, he stood with his arms crossed, one hand raised as he tapped his chin, deep in thought. "You look very stoic, uptight. Relax." A soft female voice approached, and he turned, meeting eyes with his first mate; Mara. She had caught his eye way back when he was still a hunter, as she completely destroyed a entire building full of high value targets, ones he was also tracking. Of course, he was pissed, but he soon realized that she was one hell of a pilot, and promised that when he had a big enough ship, she would be his first mate.

"These are difficult times, where one has to stay focused on the task at hand and nothing else." Turning back, he would let his burning gaze resume its searches, the stars streaks of light in the view port. Mara stood beside him, her arms behind her back as she looked over the crew on bridge. "Don't get all sentimental on me now, Nate." Her soft yet firm tone was one he had grown accustomed to, but the under tone to it made him glance at her. "You know how I get when you go all..." she waved her hand at him, as if she was trying to sum him up. "This... when you shut everything out and become like a robot." Scoffing in response he approached the navigator, who's scanner appeared blank, other than [member="Kytra Odran"]'s ship; the Farstrider.

"They appear to have stopped sir, shall I tell communications to establish a channel?" Pausing, he looked down at the scanner, the only planet nearby would be Adekka, so that must be where they were going.

"No need Private, set course for Adekka, I plan on killing the witch personally."
Moving back to his spot beside Mara, he would ponder the journey ahead, wondering what fate had in store for him.

"Phrik!" Dax cursed, scrambling to track the Ophidia's course, the scanner indicating that the Ophidia's hyperdrive was powering up, preparing to escape from the two Outback corvettes. The incident with the unknown apparition was in the back of Dax's mind now as he attempted to plot his course, the Farstrider's response barely registering in the man's frantic mind.

The Ophidia disappeared in a flash of light, the Farstrider departing only moments after. Confirming his co-ordinates Dax noticed a third ship just coming out of hyperspace behind him. The Heaven's Bane, Dax thought, Nate's new command. Dax and his friend would have to catch up another time. Engaging the hyperdrive, the Revenant Dawn took off after the Farstrider.

Standing from the his seat Dax groaned. Whatever that thing was, it could still be on the ship. And that was one serious health hazard. Slowly Dax exited to cockpit, beginning his sweep of the Protector Class Corvette.

Those who had ventured to Simbayka were now in for a new surprise for when the arrived they would be greeted by Solar Spear-class Cruiser bearing the marking of The Stilleto's. There would be no deception, no false distress calls or other trickery. Captain "Tall Tide" was in the mood for blood and as soon the two ship entering the system. ([member="John Shepherd"] and [member="Aeshi Tillian"] ) They would find the void between them filling with pirate Gunships and Fighters with only one mission in mind. To take down any and all hostiles they detected.

The fighters would not be on top of the underground forces at first, this would, in turn, give our hero's time to flee if they choose or fight if they wished to defy the odds. The decision was up to them.

While all this was happening [member="Werah Unon"] would find wreckage from a small ship maybe the size of a light freighter when he exited hyperspace in Reika . As they would approach the debris field a strange cold feeling would come over the crew as right before their eyes Ghosts formed and began to chant in rhythm. "Dead men tell no tales... Nor can we sleep... till she is no more..."

OSS OPHIDIA
ADEKKA, jumping to ???
The Ophidia leaped to hyperspace, but its angle couldn't be determined with accuracy. It had either jumped to nearby Senika...or Aterka, clear on the other end of the Adeline Cluster. Senika was the safer bet, the established route, but Aterka was a distinct possibility. And yet if the Ophidia had jumped to Aterka, it would have needed to cross trackless space, encountering any number of troubles along the way. It might not even reach its destination. Scans indicated very few life signs aboard the battlecruiser, and only one on the bridge. Hardly a good setup for precision flight; frankly, it boggled the mind that the Ophidia had come this far at all.

The pursuers would need to guess -- Senika or Aterka -- and commit. They'd need to do it fast: simply pushing the starweirds out of their hulls wouldn't delay the creatures for long. Starweirds had numerous powers.

And one of the pursuers had made a potentially fatal mistake.

I won't say who...but somebody.

OOC/ If you choose Aterka, spend an extra post getting there, and expect complications.

Werah sat up in shock as the ghosts appeared. This seemed very odd, but a ghost couldn't physically pose any threat...could they? Realising that the hosts were speaking, he listened in, trying to shake off the cold feeling. The ship nearby...that must be where the ghosts had come from. Had the OS ship killed all these people? Werah summoned the force inside his head, and created an illusion on his crew, hiding the ghosts from them. "They're gone now, no need to panic.", Werah said firmly, though the ghosts were still very much there. Still, a panicked crew was never good. He walked out of his chair, right up to one of the ghosts, and tried to speak to it telepathically. "Who is 'she'? And why did she do this?"

The Cyaron and Lily White were beaten by their faster counterpart under Commander Tillian, arriving in-system several minutes later.

Almost immediately the klaxons blared on the bridge...contacts. The bridge crew began relaying information as fast as they could manage. Ki's sensitive ears were catching snippets between members around her, as well as to and from her second-in-command, the former Sith Commander.

After a few moments, the commander approached her, as serious glint in her eyes,"Ma'am, the sensors are picking up contacts. A lot of smaller craft and a larger assault vessel. Can I advise?"

The fox-woman nodded,"The Stardream is not made for combat. WE, however, are designed to handle starfighters. Let's picket between Commander Tillian and the smaller craft."

Kimiko found herself clinging to every word. The Commander still knew her stuff and Ki was more than grateful,"Let's do it. Raise shields, sound General Quarters, and hail the Stardream as soon as we are in range."

The other woman bowed and went to execute the orders and Kimiko sighed, silently hoping her friend wouldn't find herself in any trouble.

Dax's mind ran frantic as he took careful steps down the halls of the Revenant Dawn. The navigation computer had estimated two different destinations for the OSS Ophidia. Senika of Aterka. Dax had taken a chance, and jumped to Aterka. There were slim odds that the Ophidia had made the jump to Aterka. A pinpoint jump just wasn't in her. But that what was what Dax would have done. Taken the unpredictable route.

But whether or not his leap of faith paid off would have to wait. Dax had more pressing and immediate matters to attend to. With a hiss the door to his cabin slid open, the only light in the room cast by the blade of his lightsaber, the orange cast altering colors ever so slightly. Stepping cautiously over threshold he entered the room, the farthest corners becoming illumened, the lights flickering to life. Eyes flicked from one place to another, an uneasy feeling hanging in the air. Dax's eyes fell on the simple wooden box sitting upon the shelf. Walking to it, Dax reached out with his hand to open the worn lid. He hesitated, hand resting upon the lid. He could feel the sickly dormant presence slumbering beneath the wood. A loud CRASH resounded from the cargo hold, Dax's head snapping in the direction of the sound. Forgetting the box, Dax rushed to the hold.

"Forgive me, commander. It appears I caused the blasters to fall from the rack." said one of the security droids as it bent down to pick up the fallen blaster rifles. "Its fine Two." Dax replied as he stepped into the hold spinning on his heel, looking around the room. "Where in oblivion did that little bosh'tet go?". As Two put the last blaster in place he spoke, "Query: To what "little bosh'tet" are you referring to, commander?" "The...its a...I don't even phrikin know what it is....whatever it is be on alert Two. Don't engage, just let me know if you see anything out of the usual." "Very well Commander."

Location: Simbayaka to Greater Tarka System

"Sir.... Behind you..."

"What is it Felix, behind me?"

John spun around and looked at the looming ship coming at him, spitting out his coffe he scrambled to grab the controls and get underway, turning on his jump and aiming toward the Greater Tarka System. Slamming to get his shields up and glanced at Felix, groaning soft as he realized that the next jump might bring him into greater trouble. The Scanners where now his top priorities.

"Felix man the helm just make sure we jump, and if we don't get on the lower gun and call me."

Getting out of the Captain chair he ran down the ship getting to the console where the sensors where controlled he looked at them, turned off. Slapping himself for forgetting to turn them back on after a recent mission he flicked the switch and came back to Felix and watched patiently as the Droid got back up standing behind the chair as he sat down. Seeing the looming ship gone he realized they just got out of their jump and this time looked at the scanners and their visuals seeing nothing. Wiping his forehead from sweat he glanced at Felix and murmured something under his breath as he stood up.

"Check the cannons for me, we might need them ready and loaded."

Before Felix could make a response he was walking towards his stash of weapons and grabbing the grenades.

Location: Adekka, Chasing the Ophidia, En Route to Senika

"Kytra we have two possible destinations here as best we can triangulate."

A string of curses fell from her mouth as she finished tying a bandage across a wounded man's arm. As quickly as she could she raced back to the bridge, unknowing the potential peril that still lurked about her. Sure, she'd thrown the creature from the ship, as far as she knew, but she hadn't killed it. It was entirely possible it could still be lurking about, considering it could move right through the walls of the vessel in the first place. But there was a bigger fish to fry at the moment, and besides, she didn't know what the thing she'd fought even was, let alone how to go about dealing with it. Truthfully, she'd gotten lucky in the first place.

"What possible destinations?"

"Aterka or Senika. Senika is closer, Aterka requires flying through uncharted space."

She gripped the back of her chair as she stood behind it. Teeth bit down into her lip. Her mind was begging her to out think whoever was in command of the ship. But a ship that large would have a commander that would expect something like that. Besides, if they struck out first, they knew where to go after. She made the decision based solely on a hunch that the commander of the vessel was trying to play with them in an effort to lose them.

"Senika. Start there."

"Right."

The course was charted, shields were dropped, and she gripped the chair even tighter as they shot into hyperspace. If the enemy ship was in Senika? Well, they'd do something. She was certain her ship was faster and more maneuverable, so they could potential whittle away at the bigger ship. Maybe they could knock her shields down, damage her engines? Possible. She was thinking too many moves ahead though. They didn't even know if the ship had gone to Senika. If it hadn't, they'd be off to Aterka.
