Special Features
  • (+) By default, Songsteel is a material that is famed for its ultralightness. Even despite its being treated with Sith Alchemy, the resulting armor pieces are vastly lighter than most forms of conventional armor. Furthermore, Songsteel is naturally resistant to the blades of lightsabers and offers moderate protection against blasters and other projectile weaponry. (-) On the flipside, however, Dagora saw fit to only create a cuirass, pauldrons, shin and thigh guards, and a single bracer; thereby leaving a grievous amount of his body open for attack. In addition, while the Songsteel is resilient in a number of areas, pronounced concussive forces is not among them (i.e. grenades).
  • (+) Dagora's Armor boasts a single ability from the alchemical process: a nexus of Dark Side power characterized by a passive Force Drain affect. Projected in a one meter radius about the wearer, this nexus will consume the stamina and Force energies of any living being unfortunate enough to step inside and contribute them to the wearer's reserves. (~) It is to be noted, however, that the Drain affect is not significant enough to completely exhaust a victim in seconds; or even minutes for that matter. (-) Of course, like any item crafted by Sith Alchemy, the affect can be nullified by physically entering a Ysalamir Field or exposure to Force Light. In addition, the Nexus is indiscriminate, meaning that absolutely anyone (friend or foe) will be subjected to the affect upon entering its radius. Also, wearing the armor has a highly addictive affect upon the wearer; as Force Drain is easily one of the most addictive of powers. It will slowly attempt to urge the wearer into deliberately being around others as to "feed it." Lastly, traditional means of resisting the affects of Force Drain apply; including, but not limited to, Protection Bubble, Force Barrier, etc.
Description

At one point or another, simply running around in an armor composed of Durasteel was not enough. Furthermore, abandoning a culture which revolved around heavy beskar'gam called for a change: both in aesthetics and function. As such, Dagora-Kel, once known to the Galaxy as Isley Verd, created a new suit of armor that suited his purposes immensely. As a Dar'manda, this armor was an instant reflection of his choice to walk away from the Mandalorians; for at a glance, it is vastly different than Mandalorian armor. As opposed to heavy plates and T-Visors, this armor was composed of a small assortment of Songsteel armor pieces.

When fully assembled, the armor covers the most vital of areas and affords the wearer a moderate degree of protection against common, battlefield threats and immunity to the blades of lightsabers. Yet, outside of these areas, Dagora is completely exposed to whatever offenses come his way. Ever resourceful, however, the Dar'manda sees the lack of coverage as an opportunity for modularity. As such, the armor has room to support a bodyglove, lacks a bracer to make room for his famed Gauntlet, and can easily incorporate a utility belt or other gadgets provided by the Techno Union.

Protection and modularity aside, the most striking of the armor's features is the affect born from its alchemical treatment. Projected in a one meter radius about the wearer is a literal nexus of Dark Side energies. This nexus is characterized by a singular affect: draining the stamina and Force energies of any living being which enters it. What's more, these energies are directly contributed to the wearer's reserves. In order to create this particular trait, and thereby allow the wearer to benefit as opposed to becoming a prominent victim, the songsteel pieces were treated with a large quantity of his blood during the alchemical process. This allows the armor to operate as an "extension" of the user, rather than act as a double-edged sword.

All in all, Dagora's Armor suits him in a variety of ways. It is a representation of the changes in his life, the changes in his style, and is a reflection of his skill as an Alchemist.
