The Cutter is Silk Holdings' newest production model, a very simple, very efficient and most of all very effective interceptor, designed by the company to be available to fringers for those who find themselves on the wrong side of the war. Needless to say, with countless wars blossoming on the horizon, Silk Holdings needed to release a model that the rugged fringer could get their hands on, maintain and use, as well as protect themselves from the bigger bomber waves. Meet the Cutter, a starfighter designed with speed and agility in mind.

Like many modern starfighters, the Cutter has an inbuilt astromech; like many line fighters, the Cutter has plenty of bells and whistles to make it lucrative. And, built off similar parts to the semi-related Callan-class starfighter, it means that the parts are readily available almost anywhere on the Outer Rim for whoever needs it. Sure, Silk Holdings might not make many ships, but those they do release are widely accepted as some of the most popular in the Galaxy just for the fact that their market has reach. While it has less warheads and launchers available than most interceptors, this has been changed out to another laser cannon - mostly because missile costs can be rather pricey and this slightly added cost early on saves customers in the long run.
