Intent: To Create an interesting and basic artifact for Covenant Members who would like to use this light attuned lightsaber hilt shell for the construction of their own sabers.

  • Peace: Angraal Crystals have the unique feature that gives a unique feeling of peace and relaxation over someone. Though it is not enough to stop negative emotions entirely, the effects of an Angraal crystal are incredibly calming. This is effect is quite useful for lightside users as it keeps them calm and present within the battle. This sense of calm and relaxation increases strength and power within the Lightside of the force, making the connection easier and overall more powerful.
  • No Darksiders Please! - On the other spectrum however the crystal disrupts the use of the Darkside. Since the Darkside of the Force requires negative emotions, the crystals calming effects make it more difficult to utilize. This effect however is localized to the wielder of the lightsaber. As the lightsaber hilt is constructed and attuned using Light energies, a Darkside user using it on will be at best unable to use the lightsaber, at worst suffer a very nasty burning rash.
Description:

Micah comes from a family legacy that has a vast wealth of information and knowledge in sith alchemy. His grandfather Moridin, his father, his uncle Dissero, and the women of the Shamalain line are all powerful in their own rights when it comes to artifacts and their creation.

At his disposal, while he is no Master Alchemist yet, he had the ability to consult the immense library of information from his father and the aid of his Uncle Dissero who himself is a Master Alchemist. This gives him an incredible wealth of knowledge from both his Great Uncle [member="Dissero"], the journals of his grandfather (the ones his father and uncle would even let him review and highly supervised) and the knowledge given to him by his father, [member="Soliael Devin Talith"] that he had acquired his entire lifetime. Micah's spent much of his time studying with his Uncle Dissero, his father, and during the times he would visit the Jedi with his mother, studied lightside alchemy classes. He increased his prowess and decided to come up with a hilt for Covenant members to use as part of their lightsaber construction process if they so want to.

The base material he would utilize is simple; a durasteel hilt shell. This was just one of the many pieces any Force user would use for the crafting of their own lightsaber. Each lightsaber hilt shell would be crafted personally by Micah himself, alchemized by a drop of his blood, and more importantly, each would maintain a tiny sliver of an Angraal crystal.

The Angraal Crystal is a rare crystal his mother and father found in the depths of the ice caverns under the Fortress at Exocron. His parents had only been able to collect six of them in their entirety. One was used in his father's - and now Aela's - lightsaber, the other in his mother's lightsaber and necklace, a third in his Aunt Amore's bracelet, and the fifth in the construction of his father's ring. The sixth would be given to Micah eighteen years later, to give him and his sisters a reference for their own perilous excavation to Exocron to brave discovering another small batch.

In the end, Micah would shatter this angraal crystal into thousands of slivers. He would then use a sliver in each lightsaber hilt he was crafting so when utilizing alchemy, provide a sense of calm and relaxation, one that increases strength and power within the Lightside of the force, making the connection easier and overall more powerful. On the other spectrum however the sliver of crystal and the attunement to the lightside of the Force disrupts the use of the Darkside. Since the Darkside of the Force requires negative emotions, the crystal sliver and attunement calming effects make it more difficult to utilize. This effect however is localized to the wielder of the lightsaber.

As the lightsaber is constructed using Light energies, a Darkside user at best unable to use it, at worse suffer a very nasty burning rash.

Special requests for a dual saber hilt shell, curved, or anything more fancy will require asking Micah to craft them, but would be no different than the standard lightsaber hilt shell.
