BIOGRAPHY:
Zana Manto was not born through traditional means but was created as a clone by the Galactic Empire, as part of an operation set in motion by Professor Mengol, who had captured powerful Jedi Masters to use their blood and create Force-sensitive troopers for the Empire.
While the Jedi were saved, one Jedi Master's DNA and blood was infused in her, creating her. While she was biologically the child of Mak Manto, her parents had been scientists within the Empire, hoping to clone their dead daughter, bringing her back to life at the age of 16. Though, when a freak explosion ripped apart the laboratory that held her, she was rescued by an unknown figure and brought to Dantooine.
Waking up for the first time, she had no memories, no idea of who she was, and wandered around until she was discovered by a mother and a daughter. Bringing her home, security on Dantooine could not figure out who she was, and for the few months she spent there, becoming friends with the daughter, the day came when her blood tests came back to show she was sensitive to the Force.
She decided to head to the Jedi Council, hoping to learn more about herself and maybe finding clues about her past, while also honing her skills. Here, she was taught by Katarine Ryiah, who became like a mother to her. Showing her the gentleness and kindness of a powerful Master, Zana became attached to Katarine, eventually becoming a Jedi Knight.
All the while, her father, Mak, was also teaching her, helping her become stronger, whild hiding away the fact that she was his daughter, but it came to a head when he eventually told her the truth, causing for a rocky relationship between the too. Not knowing if she could trust him, she decided to become more active on missions. It was during this time, though, that she understood why her father had kept the truth from her, and she began to build her trust with him.
Their relationship solidified when Malice Draclau captured her, preforming experiments on her, by infusing her blood with that of his. Making her part Shi'ido, Mak came to her rescue, stopping Malice from going on, but as they soon found out, she was able to shiftshape, but only into species that were humanoid. Beginning to learn how to control this, Mak helped her learn to control this. Though, she still felt something was missing.
But it wasn't until a mission, that would change her life, where she would meet Jacen Caed...
A fellow Jedi, they had a deep crush on each other and eventually started dating, soon falling in love. She felt safe with him, but with Mak not wanting the relationship to continue, she found herself being with Jacen more. But when a mission went awry that Jacen had been on and he disappeared. After the Jedi Council couldn't find any trace of him, Zana fell in a depression.
She cloistered herself away from everyone, spending days in her room, crying, angry over what had happened. Knowing she was at a breaking point, the Council felt some time away, for her to relax, would do her best, and so they sent her to Chandrila, but this would be a mistake on their part, for it would be the factor in Zana's life that would put her on another path.
Meeting with a young woman by the name of Arcadia Djo, Zana eventually figured out the girl was a Dathomiri witch, one who wanted Zana to come. While not immediately breaking, it eventually took the girl promising Zana she could find Jacen if she joined that Zana left the Jedi, becoming a Nightsister.
Enforcing herself with the darkness, she became a temptress of the night, basking in the glow of her power as she led a war against the Sith and the Jedi, becoming more angry than ever. It was also the beginning of where she would hate Mak for everything that happened. As he tried to bring her back to the Light, she fought against him, eventually proving she was too far gone.
After finding that Mak had been put in cryostasis for his crimes, she felt a deep sadness, and when she couldn't find Jacen, she almost decided to kill herself before she suspended herself in animation, hoping that one day she would discover what her true meaning was...
