OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION

  • Canon Link: N/a
  • Restricted Missions: N/a
  • Primary Source: N/a
PRODUCTION INFORMATION
SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Pendant that is constructed for the express intent of balancing the wearer, spiritually and mentally.
  • Super pretty (took a good deal of work to flatten out the meteorite in this form).
Strengths:
  • Aura of tranquility: Imbues the wearer with a sense of calm, both in spirituality and temperament. Such imbuement is meant to be felt intrinsically, as if the calm had been there all along - brought to the surface by Jal-Shey.
  • Balancing the attunement of force: Favoring neither dark nor light, this pendant acts as a tuning fork and calibrates the wearer. Wearing this, the adorned should feel a refreshing sense of balance - as if they can easily see both good and bad, giving them the chance to logically choose which route they desire.
  • Imbued to allow force communication: The pendant comes with a built-in imbuement that gives the wearer limited ability to communicate with the force.
Weaknesses:
  • Breaking the meteorite component of this pendant will destroy the imbuement.
  • No inherent physical powers are gained from the imbuement. By the wearer or the pendent.
  • The imbuement of the pendant can be temporarily nullified via traditional means, such as Ysalamir. However, once out of range of the Ysalamir, the pendant regains it's inherent imbuement.
DESCRIPTION:

Like most items that Gabe constructs for personal purposes, this one was developed to deal with some personal issue that was frustrating him. Or in this case, the amalgamation of multiple concerns that seemed to wear on another.

From very early on, Gabe understood that this particular loved one had difficulty with controlling certain tendencies. Unsure of whether this dealt with some unknown component of her past, or simply was part of her nature - he opted to not dwell on the reasons for it. Instead, he decided to focus on whether he could help alleviate the potential disruptions that it might cause.

While he had recently taken to Moku-Gane stylized jewelry, crafting rings and pendants with the likeness of wood grain, he decided that he would return to his baileywick for this specific item - meteorite gibeon. Scouring Sulon, it wasn't from mining or earth searching that this was recovered. Instead, it was from a particularly feisty ceramic gypsy who decided that continued flow of mead was the only way for such a bauble to be bartered. Begrudgingly, he accepted the trade, knowing full well that such mead would have to exceed his typically allotted ABV for which the Gypsy was accustomed.

His preference with this material stemmed from the anxiety of this imbuement. While he was a practiced alchemist, he struggled with restraint when it came to this particular individual. Knowing how she responded to earlier crafting, such as imbued rings saturated with memories of the past, he knew he would need a steadier stance. The mixing of nickel and iron, interlaced with deposits of cobalt and phosphorous, gave an abrasive texture that helped for imbuement visualization. So with materials in hand, he returned to his home to begin work.

After forming a component of the gibeon into a three quarter rough medallion, he put his humble jewelry skills to use as he set it against a ring of polished electrum. Cracking and grinding down a small kasha stone, he planted shards within constructed divots of the meteorite. And on the setting that extends into the empty space between ring and medallion, a single unimbued heart of fire hangs in gold suspension.

The imbuement took the most amount of time, occurring both during and after crafting the pendant. His first step was to adhere a sense of balance which, spiritually, he had no problem with. But when it came to temperament, he found that he often shared the same proclivities as the intended wearer. Struggling over an extended period of time, he brought to the surface a sense of calm that was wrought through persistent meditation. Not only was this calm attached to the meteorite, but the kasha fragments would grant a similar boon from their natural aura. Lastly, because of the constant issue with communication, Gabe imbued the ability for simplistic force communication. Meant more as a guide, instead of a full fledged system, his desire rested entirely in breaking the mold. As such, this communication isn't the sort that can occur over massive distances and requires the wearers desire, for communication, to work.
