- Wait.. TWO hands?: Due to the specific design of the weapon, two handing it is completely impossible, dramatically reducing the potential power wielded in each swing. The user can brace their arm against the back, to try and defend themselves against heavy strikes, however it cannot help in producing stronger swings.
Knowing that as she trained to use the Force she would become a target for those who wished to convert or kill her, Caelag began the construction of a weapon suitable for her needs. First, she spent much time with the kyber crystal she acquired in the Illum caves, as she learned with Theodred Heavenshield how to create the weapon's hilt. However, she was quick to realize that the way she would likely use the weapon would be imperfect for a standard design, and began speaking to design a hilt that better suited her. Thus the hilt was designed as a rapier, a tool meant for a single hand as she was most likely to use it, and a dual phase mechanic was added to allow her the shorter blade she would be more comfortable with.
Once it was designed, she spent hours upon hours slowly, meticulously putting each and every part in place. The hand guard was the last section to be designed and made, after the primary casing of the weapon was in place, fitted to its specifications. Completed, with kyber crystal installed, the weapon would activate for the first time, set by default to a shoto saber's length. When asked on its color, she was told it was white as the Ilum snow. Quite fitting, if a bit ironic as well considering her interest in regards to the Force itself.
