Description:

With the desire to consolidate and restructure the vast conglomerate that is Arceneau Trade,Danger Arceneau reviewed the original purchase of Blas Tech and found that owning two distinct weapons manufacturers was not conducive to economic growth and financial viability. Miss Felicia Simmons, with her fantastic worth ethic, would remain as CEO of the newly renamed company under the guidance of Danger Arceneau.

With that in mind, the production of Blas Tech products was realigned to be produced by Browncoat Arms, who had a larger distribution and expansive facilities to welcome the shift.

In its place, Blas Tech was realigned to suit a new venture in needs; planetary and celestial bodies defense and hyperlane travel. Setara Defenses was born.

Operations:

Blas-Tech is the largest producer of personal energy weapons and light infantry. The company also produces turbolasers, ship weapons, missiles, and it's subsidiary Tarascii Explosives makes thermal detonators. They have also started producing armor, as well as well as Walkers. Eventually Tarascii Explosives will begin producing larger scale explosives and missiles to go along with the companies aggressive stance on weapons manufacturing.

Rationale:

Time would soon bring a new majority stockholder. And this would be none other than the Queen of Trade herself: Danger Arceneau. However, this was no ordinary bill of sale. No sweet conversation with the trading of credits.

No, this transfer was built on the foundation of a melting pot of emotions, near death experiences, and a long journey across the sands dunes of Tatooine survival style.

Danger Arceneau originally intended to buy out the company from Alric Kuhn through her usual methods of persuasion and a fair bit of credit. However, the tables were turned when in an unseen incident led to cracking of her mask, setting the scoundrel of an Alric Kuhn to shatter the Trade Queen's perfect facade of business acumen into a state of vulnerability that ended with an offer for BlasTech for Arceneau Trade Stock.

With his honor sullied, Alric Kuhn would deny the sale, stating that he wouldn't sell BlasTech to Arceneau if she were the last woman in the 'Verse. Needless to say, four days later "Danger Arceneau" would pay a visit to Kuhn, seemingly undisturbed over their most passionate encounter that had left her trembling in panic and apprehension.

It was in the eyes that Alric Kuhn managed to determine that the woman before him asking for BlasTech was not Danger Arceneau at all, but a mere Human Replica Droid. Angered beyond belief, an ionic blaster would take care of the HRD, and Alric in turn would impulsively travel half the galaxy to the arid planet of Tatooine to fine Danger himself.

However, he would soon realize that he was quickly over his head in the wilds of Tatooine. Hiring a merc to be his guide, Alric would travel the vast plains and canyons of Jungland Wastes -- No Man's land and a territory known to be the death of many who were unprepared for its perils. He soon would find out a warm -- and deadly welcoming in the sudden onslaught of bounty hunters after his hide, resulting in the death of his guide as well as his capture by Tusken Raiders...

He was as good as dead.

Were it not for Danger Arceneau, he very well could have died, for his reckless actions saw fit to result in the near flaying of his back by the sting of a Tusken Raiders whip. It was Danger who would come to his rescue, only to be caught herself and thrown along with the quickly expiring life of one Alric Kuhn.

Tending his wounds through desert survival training and the raw Aspha Mold, Danger managed to bring Alric from the brink of death, allowing for the flesh to regrow upon his back with the painful miracle cure. It was only through working together the next two days that they were able to escape and find refuge in the caverns of the Wound.

Their journey would continue for another week, resulting in the two to come to terms with the other until finally, Alric Kuhn would come to the agreement that would result in the transfer of ownership of BlasTech to Danger Arceneau.

Tier: 4

Description:
Blas-Tech Industries is the largest producer of blaster and energy weaponry in the galaxy. This focus has spread to include producing said armaments for ships, speeders, anything that can really hold a weapon. Moving forward logically, this focus has also shifted to what can protect an individual from said weapons they produce, as well as what types of platforms can carry their products. With the ever changing needs of those with an eye for the companies products, Blast-Tech has made a focus to always be ahead of the curve. This has led to a leap forward in it's weapons systems, and an ever expanding team for research and development.

With production facilities on all faction capitals(and on a few extra worlds for those with the coin) Blas-Tech is ideally suited to produce weaponry for every nation in the galaxy. Following a business model of always have at least 4-5 distribution centers in a nation at least, this has kept the company on the track to always being there when customers need them. A clause in every contract signed by the company allows it to ship weapons to another nation if production is lagging in one region, or they need to rid themselves of surplus in another region. War is a cyclical thing after all, and not every Nation is in conflict at all times. This allows a constant flow of inventory, while allowing production to continue unimpeded and possibly break labor laws on worlds where droids aren't permitted.

Iron clad contracts protect the company, and their open approach to their multiple dealings has helped rather than hinder. Being around longer than most nations has made the company be seen as a steadying force. While it does sale to nations that would be frowned upon, those operations are done in secret, and company logos are not used. In truth, Blas-Tech will sale to anyone with the credits to purchase their products. Those deals aren't openly discussed, but the company has a revenue stream coming from anyone with a need for energy weapons in the galaxy. In the wake of the 400 years darkness, this was used for slow expansion. Now that multiple nations are amassing arms for war, the company has upped production and it's factories to meet need while keeping prices affordable.

With such high quality weapons, the company is using it's research centers to push armor technology forward. Scientist there have also begun scaling up their weapons for ship use, as well as designing new walkers. These items have been pushed to mass-production status. Due to the high quality of the weaponry, Cade Lee found that most of the company's monthly income was from contract payments and missile and thermal detonator shipments. Seeking to streamline the process of ordering for customers, and making the company cutting edge. He streamlined gas cartridge ammunition with the "Plug N Fire" system. This allows for a steady stream of revenue, as the company further expands itself.

With the recent disappearance of Cade Lee and no one being able to find him, the company lost its way. Though previous take over attempts by other corporations failed one enterprising young man by the name of Alric Kuhn saw an opportunity to take over the company. Though not necessarily having the financial means to outright buy Blas-tech was Alric did have was a multitude of investors as well as his own Holding Company known as Kuhn Consolidated. Through the schmoozing of many rich people, as well as tremendous collateral to the Neimoidian banks, Alric managed to secure enough funding to worm his way into the investors vote of Blas-Tech Industries.

From there it was a simple matter of beginning to corrupt the members of the companies board. There, with the absence of Cade Lee still strong in their mind, Alric managed to convince many of the board members as well as a few substantial share holders to place him in charge of the company.

Though many argued against this action, mostly because Alric was a no-name business man from Neimoidia, a few saw the talents as well as the growth that Alric had created within his own company within simply a year. With a test of his intellect, and quick answers to potential problems that Blas-Tech Industries now faced the board ultimately decided that they at this point had nothing to lose, and as such placed Alric in charge of the company.

Time would soon bring a new majority stockholder. And this would be none other than the Queen of Trade herself: Danger Arceneau. However, this was no ordinary bill of sale. No sweet conversation with the trading of credits.

The result will end with a new CEO in charge of running the vast corporation that was BlasTech. An agreement was set into place with Felicity Simmons, who would be in charge of running Blast Tech as well as personally involved with the expansion of Pharma Tech.

Alright, I took a look at your submission and saw what you wrote about the tier adoption thing.

This is a quote from the canon company thread, made by Tef.

Tefka said:
*Please note that adopting a canon company will not give you a boost in tier. You may only start at a maximum of Tier 2.

Why do you think this should be approved as an adoption as a tier 6?

My argument as to why i think this should stay a Tier 6 company are rather simple, as well as logical.

First of all, i believe the ruleset your referring to applies only to the adoption of new Canon Companies, IE if i were trying to grab WESTAR or something of the like and claim that it should start at Tier 5. I don't think it applies to a corporation that has already been RP'd here and has been developed quite a bit through all different sorts of RP's. I can substantiate this through two ways, one is a quote from the company rules themselves;

3. If the Role-play Judge fails to contact the previous Canon Company Owner within 72 hours and deems the Canon Company Owner inactive, the Role-play Judge will then alert an Administrator who will then transfer ownership of the original submission to the new Canon Company Owner, along with any edits made.
This ruleset in it of itself is extracted from the "Inactivity with Canon Companies" section and seems to imply that the canon company being claimed ownership of get transferred as is to the new owner. Of course at the tail end of this comes "Along with any edits made." but this can be chalked up to tacking new things on to the description as well as the rational(Two musts) no reduction in company size is ever mentioned in the "Inactivity With Canon Companies" section, and indeed as i said earlier its implied that the company remains exactly as is.

Furthermore, i would argue that a reduction in Tier makes no canonical sense when one looks at things on an IC basis. A tier 6 Company spans by all accounts across the entire galaxy. It is a huge industry with massive amounts of revenue, production, and oversight. The idea that such a company could topple all the way from Tier Six to a Tier 2(Which i remind you is stated to only be able to function on one or two planets) is entirely laughable. At best i could see the reduction of the company falling to Tier Five, losing some production centers and shrinking, perhaps even Tier 4 if the hit was exceptionally bad and the CEO was absent for more than 4-5 months.

The fact is, the transfer of an entire company to a new owner has never happened here on SWRP. Large companies have either been absorbed, broken down, or otherwise been completely dismantled by other entities. Such a thing as i am trying to do has never happened. However with the arguments stated above, i feel that Blas-Tech should stay at Tier 6, and at most be reduced to Tier 4 due to previous inactivity. I believe that the rules themselves support me in this.

I summarize my argument by stating that this is not an adoption of a new canon company, it is the takeover of an already developed, already fleshed out Corporation and by that logic i should be able to inherit it as is.

Conversation Logs confirming this is okay;
[4:59:44 PM] Spencer: That would be awesome if you did a DEV of the take over
[5:00:12 PM] Chris: I can do that, 20ish posts enough or should i shoot for more?
[5:00:21 PM] Spencer: 20 is fine.
[5:01:10 PM] Spencer: I'm more comfortable with T4 with the 20 posts. You can paste the conversation of the agreement on the board so the fjs don't bite you

*shrugs* You got an agreement with the Factory Admin, you did the work and it will be stamped at Tier 4. This ain't a precedent, things like these will be judged on a case-by-case scenario.

With that being said, you are approved. Good luck.

As what Jared Ovmar said each case is different so if anyone is looking to use this as a weight in their attempt to take over a company at T6 - things are done case by case.
