Description: Barik's Bow is your traditional bow used by ancient sentients on countless worlds for millions of years. Made using the techniques taught by his father, Barik's bow is made of a strong but flexible wood found on Duniya, with a sinew bowstring. Though the bowstring connects to nothces carved into the edge of the bow, sinew covered in pitch keep the string attached and tight. A new string being installed would require stripping away of the sinew, and new pitch applied. Dobarrodon hide is wrapped around the gri, it's scaly surface ensuring the bow does not slip during firing.
Though it's highly durable, and stands up to wear and tear, the bow is still made of wood and can be broken fairly easily if force is applied in the right places. Likewise, the bowstring can easily be cut by a blade, or energy weapon. The bow isin't made for swinging around like a baseball bat- despite what you may see in holomovies, it would easily be damaged if tried to use as a meelee weapon... It's a bow. That's it.
