Bantam “Custom” MC1011 Delphus.2-class DR Shield Projector

Image Source: MC1011 Delphus.2-class Double Redundancy Shield Projector
Intent: Explain how BB could fit a MC1011 Delphus.2 on board his 40m corvette
Development Thread: Modification and installation here - 1 2
* MPT10 Wake-class Multi-role Picket - Ship close in size that has version installed as stock equipment
* Bill of sale
Manufacturer: Mon Calamari Shipyards *customized by BB
Model: MC1011 Delphus.2-class Double Redundancy Shield Projector
Affiliation: Mon Calamari Shipyard Customers
Modularity: No - Zone installed
Production: Production: Unique
Material: Sourced from MC1011 Delphus.2-class Double Redundancy Shield Projector
* Alusteel
* Plasteel
* Power Cable
* Cooling Cable
* Capacitor Bank
* Capacitor Overcharger
* Power Loop Capacitor

Description: Function is very similar to stock model with some major modifications. Emitters were too large for Starr providing coverage over a 300m range when the Starr is only 40 meters. Stock projectors were replaced with those found to MOT10 Wake-class picket ship and further tuned so the only provided a layer projection of 50 meters. Even with this adjustment the power demands on the Starr were too great so to correct two projectors were removed sacrificing the relativistic shield and the rad-dampening shield the latter being addressed by the H-wings other system to shield out radiation. Due to these changes the new shields now provided one hundred and fifty SBD standard layer of protection to the units original four hundred.

Adjustments to the units cooling system also need to be made due to space constraints. The net effect of this was a decreased level of cooling the system is able to provide its’ components resulting in an increased chance of overheating and burnout. (Effect to be noted in weaknesses)

* Formidable Defense - The system offers heavy triple layer defense for starships
* lateral control - The system can be tuned on the fly which allow the projectors to focus their shielding into one arc rather than a bubble. This can increase the defensive power by one hundred SBD into the focused shield arc.
* Expensive - the system is very expensive to build and install. While not limited to Man calamari Vessels the Delphus.2 is rather expensive
* Difficult To Repair - The system is very complex and full of redundant systems. While this aids in keeping it working far longer than other systems once damages the ship must be repaired by a certified Mon Calamari Shipyards trained Engineer. Remote repair is provided. We will come to you. We also offer a free four week training course for you or someone you chose in the upkeep and repair of this projector with its purchase.
*Gets hot - When activated the unit must always be monitored by at least two crewmen or droids. If taxed it will overheat and must be shut down for 10 minutes to allow system to catch up. If not unit will overheat and fail.

Very good submission. I'll take a closer look shortly. In the meantime, just know that relativistic shields are not something you want to mess with - unless you're saying that you removed it because the ship has relativistic shielding by default, which is fine.

You are correct the relativistic was one of the two projectors removed.
