Location: Hyperspace aboard the Zoulin, enroute to the Stygian Caldera

The Republic may be done, but her duty as a Jedi was not. Her allegiance was to no government or even to the Jedi, but to the people. There would still be those in need no matter the political landscape. At the moment, she found her calling out in the outer reaches of the galaxy with the Silver Jedi.
The Sentinel had time to tinker with some of her gadgets during the long voyage from the Core. The old Sith saber she had carried around had served nicely as a backup for the past few years, but she felt it was time to complete the construction of a new saber to have a more effective weapon in battle, and to reflect her growth as a Jedi.

Another Padawan had decided to join her on the journey through Silver space, whom she had invited to join in on the saber constructing fun, or at least pick up some tips for future reference. For now, she was alone at a workbench, strengthening each component before final assembly. Every piece had been personally handcrafted to meet her exacting standards for the weapon. One shoddy bit could result in the whole hilt exploding in her face. Lightsabers were delicate things that required extreme care to build and maintain, which was why it was considered such an important milestone when a Jedi got to the point where they could successfully craft their own.

Kayda residing on the ship, the young padawan was sitting in the control room. Traveling through space, the boy didn't have much to do in the ship. Deciding to spectate his master he dicended himself into the lower portion of the frigate. With the seat rotating around towards the back of the ship, the boy was able to see his master forming pieces for a lightsaber at a small table. Intrigued he stepped out of the seat, walking over to the master, he would look over her shoulder quietly not wanting to disturb the woman as she focused.
