    PERSONALITY | Insert

APPEARANCE | He usually managed not to draw any unwarranted attention, and outside of having a slightly above average build for a human, his unassuming features—dark skin, black hair, brown eyes—allowed him to blend in with the crowd effortlessly. He wore a grey form-fitting undershirt with a slightly darker grey pair of pants. The thin jacket over his shirt made it convenient for hiding his shoulder holstered blasters, and the heavy leather flight jacket he wore over that added a comforting layer of protection with Amorweave interwoven beneath the inner fur lining.

  • EARLY LIFE |
    -Life On Chandrila
Born on Chandrila, Sylis Eldurra was the son of wealthy bureaucrats that lived just outside Hanna City, the planet's capital. As a young boy, he enjoyed long walks with his mother in the Skygarden, the floating botanical garden that hovered over the city. She would always tell him stories of Chandrilan history and what the future could hold for their world. He idolized her strength and passion for bettering Chandrila, and it's citizens. He held the same admiration for his father, who worked with his mother to better the planet. When he wasn't working, he and his father would often tinker with land speeders as a pass time. They'd salvage parts and build them from scratch, making unforgettable memories. Sylis loved his parents, and he loved spending time with them, but he often would be saddened by the reality that he didn't get to see them as often as he wished. He would see less and less of them as he got older, and by the time he was fourteen, it became evident that he would hardly see them at all, especially with their ever-growing popularity.

Responsible for orchestrating significant policies that made it safer for its citizens to live, Zid and Sallis Eldurra were leaders in criminal reform on Chandrila. Publicly shaming and discrediting the criminal underground that managed to worm its way into the various communities on the planet. The two diplomats would often host rallies against the ever-growing spice epidemic, encouraging residents to stay away from possible sellers. They often worked with the on-world security forces and even managed to orchestrate a major drug bust at Huttaburger, one of many restaurant chains owned by a criminally infamous Hutt. They discovered that spice was being smuggled in by concealing the drug in the food as it was delivered. A disruption to distribution wasn't pleasing to the Hutt in charge of operations like these, the insatiable Agrippa The Hutt.

Agrippa had been looking to expand his reach further across the galaxy, especially core worlds with potential aristocratic clientele. The two diplomats made things difficult. They spoke out against his efforts. It was disrespectful, and a disrespect to him can never go unpunished; they needed to go.

Agrippa gave the order, and one night a group of assassins arrived on Zid and Sallis's doorstep. Security managed to intercept them, but they were no match. Hearing the commotion, Zid told Sylis to hide and not to come out until it was safe. Nothing but sheer terror struck young Sylis as he watched his father leave. He trembled at the idea that he may never see his parents again. He waited and listened, and what he heard devastated him. He could hear his parents begging and the assailants laughing. The panic and worry in his parents' voices were almost deafening until heavy blaster bolts silenced them. Sylis was speechless; it was almost as if he couldn't breathe. His tears blinded him as the crushing reality of his fears set in; his parents were gone.

It wasn't long before one of the assassins found Sylis hiding. He saw the devastated look on his face. The kid knew what had happened and what was about to happen. The killer could see a mixture of indescribable grief and anger, it was almost sad, but it didn't matter. Agrippa's orders were clear, "no witnesses." He raised the blaster to Anris's face, and as he pulled the trigger, the boy moved out of the way! Sylis managed to react fast enough to avoid being shot at point-blank range. The assassin caught off guard, was too late to respond to Sylis's counterblow. It was a hit below the belt. The assassin staggered backward. Sylis, with rage in his heart, charged the murderer. He managed to knock him back, through the glass partition wall behind them. The loud crash quickly got the other assassins' attention, and they rushed in, blasters ready. To their surprise, Sylis was on top of one of them, hitting him relentlessly. They thought it was amusing. One of the assassins set their blaster to stun and fired at Sylis. He collapsed. After they delineated amongst themselves, they decided the boy was the right age to be sold and might be worth something. So, they took him.
