DESCRIPTION

Astrian Callus began his membership within the Templar Oder after the long-distance unification of the Confederacy and the Fel Imperium. From that point, he began to admirably serve the Order as a literal Titan; facing down all manner of man and beast with his extraordinary strength. This service came to a head when he faced down and slayed a Terentatek on Nar Chunna by driving a lightsaber through its eye. From this act of valor, Astrian gained for himself quite the reputation; and so the time came for him to be recognized for his exceptional service. This recognition manifested itself in the form of a unique set of armor, personally crafted by the Master Alchemist Isley Verd. Quite literally, it is the intersection of exceptional Sith Alchemy with the features standard on all Confederate Armors.

To begin, the armor was originally composed of numerous plates of durasteel atop a bodyglove wrought from Terentatek hide. Whilst not impervious to lightsabers, the hardened leather is quite durable and is specifically hardened against telekinetic offenses. 'Twas the very same Terentatek that Astrian felled that contributed the hide necessary to create the body glove; thereby adding to the value of the armor itself. Arranged atop the body glove are several durasteel plates that were treated with Sith Alchemy. In specific, each plate was augmented at a molecular level and had its magnetic polarity reversed; thereby resulting in imperviousness to lightsabers and the ability to reflect or deflect blaster bolts and lasers. What's more, the bracers and gauntlets themselves share a particular relationship with Force-based electricity. Acting as a lightning rod, they attract and absorb these energies for release upon contact with a physical object or when dictated by the wielder. This results in the potential for grievous, electrical damage on the part of whomever might be on the receiving end.

Of course, these features are all the standard affects associated with Sith Alchemy.

In addition to the alchemically-treated plates, a helmet from the Phase V Confederate Marine Armor was incorporated in addition to a reserve oxygen tank. Through these accommodations, Astrian will have the ability to scan the battlefield through a variety of means, breathe easy when exposed to airborne chemicals, and even will be able to survive for an hour in the void of space; all thanks to the Phase V Helm! However, despite these excellent features, the armor itself is not without its drawbacks. As it is composed of durasteel, the alchemical process resulted in the accumulation of additional weight; resulting in a product of pronounced weight. What's more, due to the fact that these plates had to number enough to support the eight foot behemoth, the total weight leveled off at almost fourteen kilograms; a number which well surpasses even the heaviest beskar'gam!

Yet, despite the weight, the Armor of Astrian Callus is poised to protect and serve the Templar Master well on the field of battle.

[member="Isley Verd"] - Doesn't he already have several sets of armor? Including a set of full-body phrik plate? That I approved only a few weeks ago?

I've no knowledge of his other possessions (aside from the Templar Armor everyone in the Order has access to). That said, he's all but assured me that this is to be his main armor moving forward.

[member="Isley Verd"] - The question isn't whether he's going to use the new toy instead of the old toys, the question is whether his old toys were already more than good enough. Specifically, this one, approved only a few weeks ago, full-body class-8 songsteel plate with all the trimmings.

Sorry for the work you've put into this, Isley; feel free to reuse some of this material for another sub, or wait a few months to second chance it. Tell your folks: The Factory's a privilege, not a right.
