Arkuhn Medical as a corporation came into being by the will and hand of Danger Arceneau and Alric Kuhn. The company, as it's name would imply, is a corporation designed to be fully and completely at the head of current Medical Technology. The company was, and is entirely funded by Alric and Danger's personal trusts. Though these costs are exorbitant and expensive, both Alric and Danger have more than enough wealth to sustain the currently small corporation and maintain it's upkeep until the corporation is able to manufacture and create it's own products to become self sustained. The intent behind this is of course to found a company that is entirely and completely devoted to medical research, the fact that it is so heavily subsidized by the two Corporate Titan's means that the company is focused on it's research instead of profits.
This financial system was set up on purpose in order to keep Arkuhn Medical honest.
Unlike other pharmaceutical and other medical corporations in the galaxy Arkuhn is not and was not created to make money, they were created to help those with rare diseases that would ordinarily not be researched. This came about as a necessity for both Danger and Alric. Though both of the Corporate Titans are known philanthropist's and have both dabbled in Medical technology before, it was not until they discovered an unknown sickness in their adoptive daughter Myra that both Alric and Danger became more focused on Medical Research and Technology.
Once this focus began to shift, both of them decided that no corporation had the exact focus and necessary research departments that they would need to help Myra. Though Pharmatech was a fantastic Corporation and Vanir Technologies was highly advanced, both Corporations were established with the goals of making money, knowing this, and knowing that focus would inevitably be shifted, Alric and Danger decided that the best and most efficient thing to do was found a new company with the sole purpose of researching and developing new technology to combat diseases, ailments, injuries, and everything Medical for the good of the galaxy.

Arkuhn Medical is a corporation founded by Alric Kuhn and Danger Arceneau to further medical research and technological development within the Galaxy.
Arkuhn Medical, or AM for short, was founded as an independent and stand alone Corporation separate from all other corporate entities controlled by Alric Kuhn and Danger Arceneau. Arkuhn holds no connection to Vanir Technologies, Pharmatech, or Arceneau Trade. The company is entirely independent, gaining to wealth, funding, or anything of the sort from any of the companies that Alric or Danger own. This separation is incredibly important to the tenants of how Arkuhn Medical operated. This separation exists because even though all three of the former listed corporations are well known for their good galactic deeds they were designed to make money, Arkuhn however was created to save lives.
The company was founded not as a pet project by the Two Corporate Titan but to save the life of their daughter Myra. The company does not design products for profit, nor does it try to establish a market basis or a galactic output ratio for anything they create. Instead, Arkuhn works towards creating technology that could save lives. They do not create the unique to be unique, they do not create the standard simply to earn a quick buck, everything created by Arkuhn Medical is designed to save lives.
This business model of course means that more often then not Arkuhn Medical does not make a profit, and is instead constantly within the negative. The Company as such is only sustained by Alric and Danger's own personal wealth as well as whatever donations the company receives. Due to the exorbitant amount of money that both the Corporate Titan's have made over the course of their lives Arkuhn is capable of operating well beyond the next several decades with this mode of operation.
Of course, in order for the company to actually save lives, Arkuhn does in fact produce the things they research. These products can range from life saving vaccines to new medical scanners. All of this is produced within the company itself, then distributed through different vendors. Again, unlike any other corporation, Arkuhn does not price things according to their relative worth. For instance the corporation may develop a new drug that cures the Neimoidian Plague, however instead of ramping up the price of this drug so that only the wealthy pay for it and the poor go into debt getting it Arkuhn instead sells it at an affordable rate for everyone.
At it's core, Arkuhn was designed to do good and to save lives, a goal that it accomplishes with each new medical advancement.
