Description:
With a contract secured to develop some new tech for the Galactic Republic Senate Guard, and given light of recent events, Taeli pushed the development of the new dropship up on the schedule for Aurora Industries. Utilizing older Republic designs for inspiration, even reaching back into the old Imperial archives, Aurora engineers created the AIr-D30 dropship, or as they dubbed it, the Wraid.
Equipped with two front mounted laser cannons, two torpedo launchers (each with a six torpedo magazine, two deployable blaster cannons in the troop bay, and a deployable coma gas canister launcher in the belly, the Wraid is designed to handle any situation Republic troops or the Senate Guard might face in their duties. The Wraid also comes equipped with a spotlight system to allow dark spaces to be illuminated.
The Wraid is also designed to be able to travel through space and hyperspace by mag-locking the bay doors against vacuum. Hold space can easily fit fifty men and their equipment, along with one or two speeder bikes if necessary for the current mission. However, the Wraid does have its downsides. The dropship isn't designed to be fast or maneuverable, and it can't fit into tight spaces if deployed in a city so targets can escape by slipping through narrow areas.
