Description: Taking the idea straight out of holo-fiction where crews went into combat wearing special vac-suits that allowed them to survive after a hull breach and continue on, Domino took the idea and adapted it into a standard uniform that could be worn full-time. Capable of seeing service across multiple navies with simple style and coloration adjustments, Domino originally commissioned the Advanced Ship Suit for her ship's crew (pictured).

When the suit detects a sudden pressure drop or a slow leak reaches minimal safe levels, it seals along the joins automatically and activates an atmospheric field generator in the collar giving the wearer enough time to put their helmet on. The helmet is a rather simple affair with a visor that'll only polarize in a vacuum or when there's a bright enough blast, a comm-link, a re-breather capable of supplying 5 hours air at normal conditions, and a simple HUD capable of showing another person's I.D. and floating way-points.

The suit is where the innovation stands out for its ease of use and lasting comfort over time. It's a bodysuit that fits like most ordinary clothing with a heraldic jacket over top and removable boots and gloves. Donning it is just like getting dressed normally is. A thin regulating thermal underlay keeps the wearer's temperature at a custom preset at all times and acts as the pressure balancer in vacuum. The bio-metrics are the truly interesting part of the suit and read DNA, fingerprints, pulse, and even voice to get a positive identification of the wearer and then feeds this data through contact pads in the gloves allowing access to weapons and areas of a ship secured by such means. If anyone other than the proper owner wears the suit the comm and HUD shuts down and attempting to access bio-metrics automatically sends a security alert.

The idea behind this is that anyone can post a picture of what they want their crew to look like in a npc/ship submission or wherever and then say that it's just their uniform version of the above suit without feeling like they should post up new tech when you really just want a good ship suit that looks different from one already subbed.

Thanks for that, just wanted to add some polish and tid-bits.
Since your first reply I've added...
  • Pulse detection to bio-metrics to prevent hand-chopping from working.
  • Electrically insulation, mostly because damaged ships are dangerous.
  • Music player for fluff.
  • Reworked third paragraph of description for legibility and included a better description of how it's pieced together.
