WOTU, War of the Underworld, is to be a two part roleplay, with two significant events happening. "No Man's Land" is Story #1.
Above you'll see the map and banner for the first story, "No Man's Land". The premise is simple, but it quickly spirals into "a firehose of information." Here's what you need to get started:
1. District 13 is a small district bordering District 7 "Seven Corners" and District 1, "The Wall".
2. District 13 is a OIL REFINERY hub. It sits on Denon's L A R G E S T oil refinery operation, also known as Blackgold.
3. District 13 has some wild features because of this. Oil, also known as Blackgold, flows freely throughout the district in the form of the River Styx.
4. District 13, compared to it's neighbors, is a ghetto. The CORPOS have their strictest control from their seats high in MEGATOWN.
5. The Poors are located mostly in the BURNLANDS, JUNKROW, MIRROR PARK, THE ASH NARROWS, AND OUTERLANDS. These areas are rife with crime.
Question: What's the story looking like?
Thanks for asking, DNT. The story will open with the terror attack. Because of District 13's unique situation, the entire city is elevated on a series of levees and massive structural braces. About 100 feet below it is the planet's collection of the largest reservoirs for Oil/Blackgold.
This terror attack will sabotage those braces, bringing the entirety of this district crashing down with it's millions of people. It'll be a planetary disaster, dropping a city hundred of feet. Hundreds of thousands will die on impact. The Aqueducts and the Bridge Tunnel, the two most populous ways to leave the District, will completely collapse. It'll be isolated.
Question: Alright, but what about air support?
This'll be where the border disputes begin, but air support will be a pretty bad idea (and propulsion flight) because of the FUMES the disaster will give off at such high altitude. However, it's a city, there's a thousand ways to get into it. Climbing is probably the best idea, because again, the city is getting DROPPED A HUNDRED FEET DOWN.
Question: Where's the gang war come into play?
With the Galactic Alliance caught between a thousand different distractions right now, the CORPOS and the UNDERWORLD are the two major powers fighting over the BLACKGOLD that can be freely taken right now. Establish a base, territory in the city as fast as possible and setting up your idea and operation for how you're going to get the BLACKGOLD out of the city - that's the money maker. You can't fly it out. The city's in utter disrepair, disaster has struck, rioting/looting happening with droid insurgents attacking. Establishing your power in this cyberpunk wasteland before another takes you out is KEY.

....so what's the Second Part?
#DroidGang has found a way to duplicate themselves digitally and are simultaneously commencing an assault on Denon's HOLONET, as well as the terror attack that causes NO MANS LAND. I posted a new location that's going to serve as that launching part, but we're going full VR with our furry suits on and exploring the digital world TRON STYLE. All bets will be off. All rules will be off. #DroidGang is going to try to drop the ICEWALL and unleash whatever it's protecting us from.
